l come from the Kiddle family of London. My grandmother was Ivy Kiddle (later Aust). Daughter of Samuel Kiddle. According to my mother, all the children were illegitimate, when Florence Parsfield moved in with Samuel Kiddle with two children, she was already married and so could not marry Samual Kiddle - they do not appear (as far as l know) on the
1901 census. They were quite a colourful family.

looking for any information on a James Kiddle born about 1818 in England, Emigrated to the US before 1840 could have come with parents, siblings or by himself. probably arrived New York as he married in upstate New York around Rochester in about 1840. Married Lucinda Day. Have all downstream family if interested.

The branch of the Kiddle family that l come from, who were blacksmiths in a village called Middleton, outside Kings Lynn, Norfolk in the late eighteenth-century mainly used the names of Robert for the elder son, and also Samuel. There is (or was) a Kiddle family archive in Lincoln Cathedral. There were also Kiddles in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, but l think that that was a little later. Not sure about James Kiddle though - although it seems likely that it is the same family group.

Don't know what you have regarding Kiddle Family tree, but I am searching for background on a James Kiddle, born about 1818, and imigrated to the US - somewhere probably in New York State, either with his parents or by himself. He married in New York around Rochester in the late 1830's. Any leads would be appreciated.

My James Kiddle was born in 1831 in Shepton mallet Somerset.
He died in Bradford West Yorkshire in 1893. He had a bbrother George born 1832 and a sister Martha born in 1834. I don't think we are researching the same family.

I am convinced and we have discussed this before James left Bunwell, Norfolk in the 1840s or 1850s. Years on his nephew Joseph was sent to visit him for a year. If I am right he is named after James Youell, his uncle who lived in Bunwell and was able as he inherited all the ability of the Youell family who farmed well in Kenninghall/Banham. I am correct if you can find a Joseph Kiddle visiting him in the early 1880s or in the late 1870s on a shipping list and staying ahout 12 to 24 months. HIs mother Rhoda now has descendants in New Zealand, Australia. America and England. Will has too! James and Josephs in the Kiddle family did not inherit usually and they were the adventurers.

My maternal grandmother was Harriet KIDDLE from Knebworth who married Charles CARTER 1880 & lived in Cheshunt, Herts. You can read about my family on my Kiddle webpage at http://www.sherwoodfam.plus.com/ancestry/kiddle.htm
The family is believed to have lived at Kiddal Hall, Potterton, Yorks in medieval times, then moved to Barton on Humber. Would like to hear from anyone who may be related.

I am a descendant of james pearce from aylesbury who migrated to south australia in 1849 and whose daughter agnes went to india as a missionary where she married harry bartram kiddell and had 5 children.Harry mourhbanj bartram kiddell, john bartram k.... ,arthur james b...k....., the head auctioneer at sothebys ,george bartram PEARCE k.......,and katherine b....k....., who became mrs saba wife of the governor of bethlehem .As you can see I am reasonably well informed about the k .....family already but would like to know more and perhaps to meet up someday either in australia or in canada which I have visited in the past.You may be interested to know that the kiddells are not the only james pearce descendants in canada.

John sorry for a long time I have not looked at the message boards. I believe your school master is one I have often seen, but I do not think he is directly related or closely related to the Bunwell Kiddles. My family say a long time ago they did live in Somerset, but it could be way back in the 1600s or before. I will start looking out when I see yours. Did you have a nice visit and did you learn anymore?

We move to Scunthorpe in June 1964. My father was Ivan Kiddle, my mother Jean. He had a brother Raymond and a sister Roma. My ucle Ray has had several marriges so there may be a link somewhere.

Yes, Colin Kiddell is the 1st cousins of George Bartram Kiddell living in Canada since 1954.

George was born 1933 in UK - George(s) uncle is Colin Kiddell (past away 5 years ago and Jean past away 6 years ago) but survived by all 4 sons.

George Bartram Kiddell and his sons names are Charles Bartram Kiddell 45, Simon Percy Kiddell 42 and myself - Mark Bartram Kiddell 38 - all living in Canada - Montreal, Ottawa and Vancouver respectively.

Is your family related to Colin Kiddell?

Tom, this is four years late, but did you ever find the information you were looking for (the Kiddle immigration records)? I found the ship manifest for them -- they immigrated in 1904 through Boston. The whole family with the exception of Charles Jr. were listed (Charles Jr. was born in the US as you most likely know).

Let me know if you want a copy of the manifest if you haven't found it already.

Our tree starts from 1720 with a Christopher Kiddle who was married to Elizabeth Turner we do not know where they moved from but we do know they settled in Attlebourgh Norfolk any help would be great.

(Married ) Frederick William Smith d/p.b: circa1848, London.
Frederick was the Master of the 'John Ellis'.
I can't find a marriage certificate so I'm really Struggling.

Annie Pester was born December 28, 1884 in Othery, and married Joseph Kiddle. Annie parents were William Henry Pester and Elizabeth Porter, married December 27, 1855 in Middlezoy, next to Othery, Somerset. Do I have the correct family? Some of the Pester family settled near Lake Villa, IL. I would be happy to be of some help.
