According to our information, Mingo, was a family slave/companion of William David Kiddoo, s/o David Kiddoo 1802-1865. Wm. 1836-1928 was veteran of Confederate Army in Civil War. The tradition is that when he was wounded in the war, Mingo, carried him 40 miles to a railroad and took him home.
Wm.David was the youngest judge that served on the Patula Circuit of Cuthbert, GA, where his father was the first judge. Wm.David m. Martha Rebecca Thornton 25 Jun 1867, and their dau. Mary Lee Kiddoo, also served as an attorney, and as soon as law permitted, a judge Cuthbert, Randolph Co., GA.
