They divorced and he eventually married Clara Kuenzler. He was in WW2. His parents were Theodore and Magdaline Kiefer from Louisville. He had a sister, Alberta Wessels.

I am just beginning to search the Kiefers of Wi. My grandmother Margaret Mary Kiefer was born around 1875 in WI. as far as I know, and died in 1950 in Paramus, N.J. She was married to Emil Schultz who was born in MN. They had 7 children. Emil John, Gertrude, Margaret, Blanche, Clarice, Bernadette and Cecilia. My mother Bernadette spoke of having relatives in the Minn, St. Paul areas. Aunt Bud and aunt Rose are familiar names. I am assuming that they too were Kiefers. But of course they could have been grandmother's mother's sisters.

Well I just lost my msg. but then I came upon more of your info. so now I am less sure about a family connection. You said that Mary Margaret married a Mr. Weeks. My grandmother Margaret Mary Kiefer married Emil Schultz and moved to N.Y. They had 7 children, John, Gertrude, Margie (Margaret?), Blanche, Clarice (Claire), Ceceilia, and Bernadette (Dette) my mother. I know that mom had an Aunt Rose in MN. and I just remembered an Aunt Bud. So, what do you think? The grandparents died in the 1950's.
