Andrew BARTON Colley b. 1853 in KY or TN is s/o Andrew Thompson Colley(b 1812)/ Martha Ann BARTON (b. 1825) who m. 1841 in Henry Co, TN. I have just found a file naming Benjamin J Barton/ Rebecca Killebrew as parents of Martha, Joseph Wade, Margaret M, and Benjamin F. This file also states that their grandfather, Joseph BARTON, was appointed their guardian after the death of their father in 1832. In my own records, I have Rebecca as the sister of Sara Killebrew who m. William Colley in 1812 and was the m/o Andrew Thompson Colley. Does anyone else out there have info to agree or disagree with this? I have also seen William Killebrew b. 1670 m. Sarah Thompson whose father was b. 1690; William K b. 1670 m. Sarah Wiggins; William K b. 1690 m. Sarah Thompson. In all these cases, Wiggins K was listed as s/o William/ Sarah. Does anyone have any evidence that there may be 2 William K's, one b. 1670 m. Sarah Wiggins, and another (his son?) b. 1690 m. Sarah Thompson? This is just speculation on my part.
