Phoebe Killer - 1797 OH - M. Richard Price - 1795 VA

I'm still searching for information on Phoebe Killer and Richard Price. Over the years, several have provided information on the Killers, but none of my lineage.

Phoebe and Richard married around 1815 (place unknown). They sat up housekeeping in Benton AR and had 13 children:

I sure am related. My great grandmother was Esther Killer, who married Jack Jones.
Looks like you must be a descendant of Thelma Irene Killer?
I am part of an MSN Killer Group where my third cousins and more distant rellies all discuss the family. We have data back to the 1500's.

Johann Nicholas Killer (born 1823 to Anna Christina Goss and Johann Killer). Emigrated to Waterloo Ontario Canada in the 1840s with his half brother Johann Hett (son of Anna Christina Goss and Heinrich Hett). Johann Nicholas Killer was a carpenter and hardware dealer and had 9 children, possibly by two marriages, born between 1850 and 1875). Known spouse (mother of at least 6 of the children) was Christine Sneider or Schneider. Children include John, Caspar, Henry, Katherine, Peter, Elizabeth, George, Fred and Largette. Any information gladly exchanged.

George Killer was from Derby and moved to Manchester where he maried Elizabeth Leigh in 1761. Elizabeth had good "connections" and their family prospered. They had 2 sons who went on to become well known surgeons and it is John Egerton Killer who had a number of daughters including Frances who married William Hale Bellott.

I was in the RIVERVIEW MEMORIAL PARK two weeks ago, which is in FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA, Saint Lucie County,
and I wrote down this information.
They are all buried there together in a group.

There is a cross headstone that has the intials IHS in the
middle (I believe it represents the name of a group or something). On one side of the cross is the last name
which read; SCHNEIDER.
On the other side of the cross, is the last name which
read;

KILLER

The footstones on this side of the cross, read;

CLYDE E.
NOV. 5, 1882
APR. 22, 1940

AUGUSTA C.
SEPT. 8, 1881
FEB. 12, 1959

E. PEARL
MAY 5, 1912
FEB. 16, 1982

There is also another headstone to the right.
It is a flat veteran's type, which read;

MMI US COAST GUARD
WORLD WAR II
JAN 30 1911
FEB 8 1985

John George Killer who married Mary Ann Collins migrated with his family from England to Australia in 1869.
His father's name was George, and mother was Lydia Knowles, one of 4 wives (not all at once!)

Your name is likely KILLER. The Scottish Keiller/Keillor is a more modern spelling of what was originally KILLOR/KILLAR/KILLER.
Depends how far back you go........not many Keillors/Keillers in England pre 1837, althought there were at least a handful in Yorkshire

I don't have my notes with me today, but I do know that the Killer's family married into the Bean family, then it goes into the Bill Middleton family, then to the Hutchison family in Hill County, Mount Calm, Texas. My g-grandpa, John Harrison Hutchison moved to Texas from Arkansas. He married Sarah Middleton. If you search for his name you find the exact line. Also I am related to Robert Dowdle Middleton, and Robert Dowdle. Phoebe's dad's name was Nathan. Nathan was born about 1774.

Phoebe Killer married Richard Price. Children were: Tabitha, John, Sarah Maria, Stephen,Elvira " Elizabeth", Mary, James, Benjamin Hardin, Prisilla, Sophia Martha, Levenia "Lavinia" and Drucilla "Delvin" Price, she was born February 02,1833 in Washington County, Arkansas and she died about 1877 in Cleburne, Texas.

Drucilla Price married Wiley Benjamin Hutchison. Their children: Wiley Benjamin Jr., Louvina, Abner Lee, George, Ephriam, and John Harrison Hutchison,he was born July 13,1856 in Arkansas and he died July 03,1929 in Mount Calm,Texas.John was my g-grandpa.

John Harrison Hutchison married Sarah Elizabeth Middleton of Mount Calm, Texas, Hill County. Their children were: Johnie Pembrook, Maggie, Percy, William Aaron, and Samuel.

Johnie was my grandpa. He was born March 28,1889 in Mount Calm,Texas. He died August 01,1947. He died of a heart attack.
Johnie married Hattie Jewel Wilkins. Their children: Johnie, Joe, Billy, Thelma, Leota, Mary, Bobby, and Imogene (she died at about 8 months).

George Killer married Elizabeth Leigh in 1761 and had daughter Elizabeth in 1762. A granddaughter of George and Elizabeth Killer named Frances married William Henry Bellot in 1847.

To Travis Killer: I dont think any members of my Killer family from Derbyshire UK emigrated to US. It was all they could do to walk to Derbk, some 15 miles from the village of Wirksworth, near Matlock, where they seem to have spent their days. My father, James Killer Hawley, was invalided out of the 1914-18 war to South Africa, where a man who was the sole proprietor of a gold mine wanted him to go into partnership, because they shared the same name !! I suppose the Killer exodus to US came from branches in Sheffield, or Scotland.. The name certainly seems to be a corruption of the Scottish name 'Keiller'.

I don't have very much info on my family, but as far as i can tell my greatgrandfather was from OK and his name was Dave or David Killer and he had a son James Jackson killer or Jack Killer as it was most commonly said. He is the only child that i know of from Dave or David Killer and that James or "Jack" Killer was buried with a Bobbie Killer in Pryor OK.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you, but my grandfather's name was James Jackson Killer or Jack Killer and his last wife's name before he died as far as i know was Bobbie Killer and they are both buried at Pryor, Oklahoma, and he was full blooded Cherokee Indian. I have very little info,but his father's name was Dave or David Killer. James or Jack Killer had three "known" sons which live in AR at the present time. If you have any info it would be very useful to me.

I come from the Derbyshire GB 'killer' family. 'killer' was thought to be a corruption of the scots name 'keiller', and came to Derbyshire with the scots army of Bonnie Prince Charlie in 1745. There is a cousin of my late father called 'willie killer' in Derbyshire which always caused great amusement !! I think theat the Killers in GB were mostly from the Derbyshire area. Any use ??

travis i am the daughter of james jackson killer, and tommie lafoy killer, he was born in sallisaw, ok. his father was dave killer, his mother was nannie jo jumper killer. he is buried in pryor, ok. he has three sons, by his first marriage, they are,jimmy,johnny, and jerry. i believe there mothers name is louise. i have one sister, and two brothers. he was a full blood cherokee. dave killer remarried, but i can't remember her name. i have been told that the three boys lived in arkansas. his mother, or his mothers ancestors were on the trail of tears trek.

my grandfather is called micheal Killer. i definetly know that there is links with scottland in the killer line. Robert Bruce was somehow related as my grandfathers male relations all had robert bruce as a middle name. I hope that is of help.

I'm so glad I found your message. I am new to roots, so I'm just learning at my age. I thought it would be impossible to trace my mother's side, but Nova Hutchison has done a grand job. However, my search ends with Phoebe Killer, and I thought possibly you could help me. Since I'm tracing the mother lineage, I'm most interested in Phoebe's mother's name, but I am unable to find it as of yet.

Do you by chance know what her mother's name was?

I am still very interested in the Phoebe Killer's mother's maiden name. From the info on the page I looked at, it appears that her father's name was Nathan Killin. This is a bit confusing to me - however, I'm sure you'll be able to clear this up for me.

Mary Ann was born 1845 in Malta (father was in the British army there), and died in Queensland about 1930. Her parents were William Collins and Hannah Hansell.
