Betty,
Thanks for the information.
I believe a look at the other Darlington Co records would answer the question of who E. S. was - Ezekiel S. He was on the 1830 Census although that may be a mistake and it should have been Easley, the father. On the 1860 Census is E. S. aged 41 in the household of his father and the Mary and the children may have been his family. In 1840 on the New Hope Church Rolls one finds Ezekiel S., Easley and Mary.
Please remember, I had probably 6 hours total in Darlington and Sumter Counties and what little information I got may have only been the tip of the iceberg.
E.S. and some of the others in Ala were more than likely nephews of Easley of Sumter/Darlington Co. The Warre found on the 1860 Census Barbour Co, Ala in the household of Andrew was bc 1796 - within reason to be a younger brother of Easley of SC. The William H. found in that county may have been the son of Easley of SC and some of the others may have been sons of Warre. Thomas of Coffee Co was of the age to also be a brother. There were county line changes in Ala but I don't do a lot of work in either Ala or SC so they are not states I have any expertise in.
On the Sumter County 1810 Census - John, Easler, William all p 212 also on p 112 and 113 are John Canady, Abel Dixon, Levy Barfield, James McCoy, Henry Wilson, William Barwick - all Lenoir/Pitt/Greene people and McCoy, Barfield, Wilson and the Kilpatricks were all married into the same family in Craven/Dobbs Co
Easler - males 0-10 (2) 16-25 (1) females 0-10 (1), 26-45 (1)
William - males 16-26 (1) I think as it is hard to read, females 10-16 (1)
John - males - 10-16 (2), 26-45 (1), females 10-16 (1), 26-45 (1)
Martha
