Freda Ann Pettit Kingery was born Jan. 8, 1958 in Taylor County to the late John and Ella Wesley Wooldridge Pettit. She departed this life Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, having attained the age of 53 years, four months and 16 days. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Old Salem Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was a cook at the Kozy Korner Restaurant in Greensburg and was also employed at Medco Nursing Home in Campbellsville. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by one brother and one sister, John Pettit and Wanda Lou Whitlow. She is survived by one son, Timothy Todd Whitlow of Greensburg; four sisters, Brenda Sue Helm, Alice Bryant and Willie Frances Pettit all of Greensburg and Betty Jean Moran of Stephensburg, Ky., two grandchildren, Tiffany and Kimberly Whitlow, plus a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation was held Saturday morning and the funeral was at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 28 at the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home. Rev. Landon Hadley and Rev. Darrell Hensley officiated. Interment was in the New Salem Cemetery. Pallbearers were: John Robert Whitlow, Bill Whitlow, Mike Holland, Hank Rapier, Ronald Whitlow and Adrian Cobb. Honorary Pallbearers were: Billy Holland, Shawn Coffey, Vernon Howard Pettit and Marion Pettit.
