The pamphlet I was referring to can be found at the Kentucky State Archives OR the Family History Library in Salt Lake City. The source documentation is below.Frances T. Ingmire, Hardin County, Kentucky (St. Louis, Missouri: F.T. Ingmire, 1979), The call number in Salt Lake City is FHL Book 976.9 A1 no. 195.
The full citation from pg. 53 is "KINKADE, W>S>M> - aged 37, d. Oct. 10, 1855 of fever; b. Logan Co., parents William and Harriet KINKADE."

I have nothing on the Brasher side. Yes, William S. Kinkade is a son of Robert S. Kinkade and Mary Bowman.

Sorry to have more questions. Could you please tell me the death date, age and parentage of William Samuel Kinkade in the state archives statistics pamphlet? Where is that available? I've looked around online and can't find anything like it.
After William Samuel died, Mary Margaret married James Brashear.
On a tombstone at one of those Upton cemetries it says:
Mary Upton wed Oct 2, 1845-Samuel Wm. Kinkade. Mary later wed James Brashear (there are no birth or death dates on the stone) so I've found no tombstone for him yet either.
I'd sure appreciate having that death date and the other information.
Also, do you know if William S. Kinkade and Harriet Kermickle fit into the Descendats of Robert S. Kinkade that are listed? Would he be their son?

To answer your questions...
William Samuel Kinkade's parents were William S. Kinkade and Harriet Kermickle. A record of his death in a pamphlet on the state archives statistics for Kentucky, lists his age, death date and parentage. I believe that both William and Mary are buried in the Upton-Brasher Cemetery in Hardin County, Kentucky. You probably can Google the cemetery for more information. I did not pursue the family further than the names of their children.

Mary Margaret Upton? Do you know where they are buried? Or

I believe you are referring to Leslie Thomas Kinkade. I know he is a part of the Grayson County, Kentucky Kinkade lineage, but he is not a direct ancestor of mine. My father is Leslie Dewey Kinkade. I would estimate that the wife would be born between 1840-1870. Later census infor on Robert gives his parents both being born in Illinois.

On one branch of my maternal tree I have been able to get back to my great-grandfather: Robert P. Kinkade, who married Rebecca Ann Chew (c. 1854-1918). Their children (surviving to adulthood) were Ara Bella, Cinderella, William L., Martha R. (my maternal grandmother), and Elisha Cooper.

My grandparents, Martha R. & Joseph Stewart Senor had 5 daughters: Elizabeth, Reba, Arella, Estella (my mother) and Marion.

All of the above resided in the Gloucester County New Jersey area. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Their son Daniel William Kincade b 17 Sep,1846 Hardin Co,Ky. Married 21 Nov,1867 Died 21 June,1921 at Waedville,Atoka,Ok He married Cynthia Ann Caswell b 23 August,1847 in prob. Hart Co,Ky. She died 14 Dec,1920 at Wardville Atoka,Ok. This couple and many of their children are all buried at the Wardville Cemetery.. We desc from their son Jerry Jefferson Kincade b 31 May 1876 in Uptonville,Larue ,Ky He always said Larue but we think at that time it was Hardin Co,Ky He married Rebecca Jane Hornback at BOyd Community ,Fannin Co,Tx 13 Nov,1898. He died 25 May,1960. This couple are both buried in the Kincade plot at Hampton Cemetery at Edhube ,Fannin Co.,Tx They raised my husband. Jeff and Becky had 11 children of their own. None are living.

The earliest I have been able to go back to in this family is to George Kincaid/Kinkead who was married to Elizabeth Dean. I have Elizabeth's parents but not George's. George was killed by the Shawnee in September 1756 on Jackson River in Virginia. His wife Elizabeth and three children were taken captive. Two children were not taken captive, Samuel and William. Samuel is Albert Gallatin Kinkade's ancestor and is buried in the Kinkade Cemetery in Lawrence County, IL. Elizabeth remarried to Paul Larsh in 1759 in Kaskaska, Illinois. I have much information on this family and have been working with other Kincaid/Kinkade/Kinkead researchers to sort out the various lines. We think we may have identified one of the three children who were taken captive and never identified.

This is the information I have about the children of Robert Kinkade and wife Mary, who died in Hardin County, KY. I have never found a document that shows Robert was born in County Cork. Do you have anything with that connection? I descend through the youngest child Arthur---descendants of the older children may have more family records that I have.

Robert's age comes from his June, 1820 Revolutionary War pension application, in which he said that he was age 78, and his wife Molly was age 55. There are a number of letters in his RW file at the National Archives. His wife Mary said in one document that they were married in December, 1784 in Washington County, PA by Rev. Matthew Henderson.

There are tax records for Robert Kinkade in Shelby County, KY in 1792 and 1797 on Bresher's Creek. Do you know the source of the information that the children were born in Lynchburg, VA? I have nothing that shows that to be true.

1. Mary Ann , b. 28 Oct 1786; m. John Veech, 15 Mar 1806, Shelby Co, KY

2. Isabella, b. 17 Jan 1789; m. Zachariah Bunch 07 Sept 1808 Hardin Co, KY. This family moved to Illinois.

3. William, m. 1st Harriet Kermickle, Sept 1811, Hardin County; m. 2nd, Sarah H. Stewart 1823 in Logan County, KY. Widow Sarah H. Kinkade is shown in the 1850 or 1860 census in Grayson County, KY living with a Cain family. Don't know the exact connection yet, possibly her sister married a Cain. Most of the Grayson County, KY Kinkades are thought to be descendants of William.

4. Robert, Jr. m. Elizabeth Traner 27 Nov 1815, Hardin County. Children are shown in the 1860 LaRue County, KY census.

5. George W., m. Sally Traner 03 Sept 1816 Hardin Co. George went to Illinois by 1830. Lived in Clay County, and then moved to western Illinois. Several daughters married Websters.

6. John, m. Malinda Oldham 25 Feb 1818 Hardin Co. John died in the 1840's, and I don't know his children. They may have moved to Grayson County also after his death. The widow is in the 1850 Hart County census.

7. James, b. 9 Dec 1800, m. Lucinda Butler. This family remained in Hardin County.

8. Sarah, b. 1801, m. James Fletcher 10 Oct 1829 Hardin Co Sarah Fletcher is listed in the 1880 census for Olney, Richland Co, IL with son Charles R. Fletcher and wife Aurelia F. Fletcher, all born in KY. Sarah Fletcher said in the 1880 census that both her parents were born in Ireland.

9. Martha (Patsey) , b. 1806 m. unknown. Martha Kincade is in the 1850 Richland Co, IL census living with her sister Sarah Fletcher. Martha is not in the 1860 census.

10. Arthur M., b. 1814; m. Emily Jamison/Jameson 13 Dec 1838 Hart Co, KY. Arthur and Emily moved to Richland Co, IL about 1850. Arthur died in October, 1862 at Helena, Arkansas at age 48. He enlisted in the Civil War in the spring of 1862, joining his son William McDonald Kinkade who enlisted in Dec., 1861. Arthur's son Benjamin also enlisted a few years later. All served in the 5th Illinois Cavalry, Company M.
