JoHn Hunt kinnaird
John Hunt Kinnaird, 45, of Allentown, formerly of Oxford, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, Bethlehem.

Born in Franklin, Pa., he was a son of John Orr and Bertha Hunt Kinnaird of Nottingham.

John is dearly loved by thousands of young people in the Allentown area where for many years he spent 15 hours a week in the schools, mostly public but some private, bringing a message of acceptance of the handicapped, of avoidance of sex before marriage, of respect for human life from inception as bearing the image of God, and of trusting in the work of Jesus the Christ of God as one’s Lord and Savior.

He is survived by his parents; his sister, Malissa Files and her husband, Clint Files, of Huntingdon Valley; his sister, Deborah Perry, and her husband, Jim Perry, of Vienna, Va.; his brother, Malcolm Kinnaird, and his wife, Justine Kinnaird, of Cedarbrook, Wis.; his brother, David Kinnaird and his wife, Rachael Kinnaird, of Philadelphia; and ten nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends were invited to call from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, March 30, 2007 at the Living Hope Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 330 Schantz Rd. Allentown, Pa. A worship service was held at 1
p.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2007 at the Living Hope Orthodox Presbyterian Church.

A graveside worship service was held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 1, 2007, at the Fremont Cemetery, 321 Fremont Rd. Nottingham. Interment followed at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, gifts in John’s memory may be made to the Romanian Christian Enterprises, 21058 Unison Rd., Middleburg, Va., 20117, a Christian ministry to handicapped and orphaned children in Romania.

Funeral arrangements were handled by the Edward L. Collins Funeral Home, Inc. Oxford, Pa.
