Amy Kinter was my grandmother. (Edgar P. Deemer was her husband). She kept a record of her family history. Contact my sister at jbusybees@yahoo.com and ask her for a copy of her chart. Too many similarities to be a coincidence.

My grandmother was a Kinter, she married Banjamin McAnulty of Barnesboro.I have been around this board many times. I have a listing when Philip Kinter came to America. I had corresponded with Sandra Kinter from around Marion Center, she claims that she had a bunch of things belongingto Philip and Barbara> I didn't find to much.
I had found at the Kent library where there was a preacher in England who might have been Philips father, she was in good graces with the king and queen but something happened and they were expelled to the Netherlands. But this Sandra claims that isn't so. He had come from Scotland. I will look for these papers and send them to you. We live over here in Ohio. Jean

I have read with great interest the posts regarding Kinter/Kinder. All of the spellings I have are Kinter. My family traces it's history back through John and Isabella. John is the son of Philip and Barbara Kinter. Their son John Kinter, II married Sarah Ross. Their daughter Margaret married Joseph Mears and so it went on down the line to my mom.

I am very interested in obtaining more information about Philip and Barbara. I've hit a brick wall many times and would love if you can at least point me in the right direction.

Can you confirm that Philip and Barbara were married in Brussels (then part of Holland). The only information that we have is that they emigrated from Holland at some point. I show that they were both born in the year 1700 but don't have the rest of the dates. I also show that Phillip and Barbara are buried in the Old Lancaster graveyard.

My mom's family is still in Pennsylvania and we will be traveling to PA in late July for a big surprise birthday party/family reunion for my grandmother. We'll be in the Natrona Heights area. Any opportunity to meet with you would be appreciated.

I hope you get this you posted quite a while ago... I am a Great-Great-Grandaughter of George T. Kinter. His son Arthur Elder Kinter was my Great-Grandfather and his Daughter Sarah Eleanor Kinter was my grandmother. If you'd like more information on our family please reply to AvalonsRose@verizon.net. We were told Arthur was an only child who's father died months before his birth and mother died in childbirth and have come to find out that was not true but that the children were separated out to various family members and friends after Agnes' death.

Arrangements would have to be made though.

I am beginning to think that you may not find any more than you already have, since the records are not public. Of course, it doesn't hurt to look.

Take care,
Sandy

!!!!!!!
I have never... not known it. It's ....family history. I've heard it all of my life.

The items....have been in the family... forever, it seems. I grew up looking at them, and learning their history.

The documents showing the lines are in the old family Bible. I've made copies of them for some in the next generation.

The Kinter's have a historian each generation. I am one myself, and am lucky that my father is the one in his generation.

Our history is so rich. But it has always been tightly held. There are some things people don't like being told.

Where to start.....???!!!

Did you know that one of our GG...G grandfathers, born in Scotland in 1634, was graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1658? He later went to Ireland and died there in 1712.

Now how many people do you think can lay claim to something like that?

And..you won't find him in that so called, "book."

There are those who presume to write "books." They claim illiteracy for our ancestors, who, in reality, were better educated than the author of such "books."

Are you familiar with our tartan?
I'll see if I can find it. Friends brought me several from Scotland a few years ago. I have pics on one of my pages.

BTW..are you associated with a funeral home?

You know, I could lay it all out for you..but I really don't know who you are.

Have you tried looking at Scottish history?

And thank you, the leg is doing well. A few more weeks should be all.

P.S. Caldwell's has some errors. Bill Kinter has actually falsified names, dates, marriages, and... you name it!!!

Dear Jean,

Hahahahhaha not a "doubting Kinter" I would hope!

Because you do not know our history, you fail to accept what you have been told, by one who continues to bear the name? Incredible!

First of all, I have an active life. When I travel, or when I'm working, I rarely have time to play on the comp. I have been very busy for the past year. Time is always in short supply. I have some time now, so I expect to be on this board a bit.

Sooooo, your questions...

Documents which are held privately, are not necessarily open to the public. Close family members are aware of them, and make no secret of that.

How I came to possess these items? Some, I will inherit, some will stay with other family members. I have full access to them, and for the time, that is enough.

Royalty is inherited. The Kinter line goes back to Scotish royalty...I trace my line back 1000 years...every name and every generation..documented. The fact that you can't, is....unfortunate. In fact, you do to...but you just don't know how, or where to find it.

I have nothing to prove to you. Those of us who know from whence we came, are satisfied. I've given you some facts.
Whether you accept what I have said or not is irrelevant.

An inheritance goes to the eldest son..or so it used to.
I am descended from the line of the oldest surviving male heir of Philip, John, as are you. However, you are then from the female side. Women tend to lose their identities when they marry, along with their history.

I run from John to Peter to William and down several more generations. But nearly always, inheritance of family heirlooms has been to the eldest surviving son.

Take care.

Clara's parents are George Brower and Diantha Ballou.

This woman is NOT a Rachael HAIGHT, who married Aaron in 1847 in Branch County MI; Rachael is at least the second wife of Aaron Brower, who had children from a prior marriage, including George, some of whom are as few as ten years younger than Rachael HAIGHT Brower .

You don't explainwhich part pf the family you're from. How did your family come into the royalties from the castle?
You write a good story but offer no proof. You say that the history is well documented and that Caldwells Indiana co book is incorrect also that Bill Kinter is not accurate. Where do you find this documentation.
You say that the Kinter line goes back to royalty, who is this royal person? No you don't have nothing to prove to me but could you please help me find the rest of the family tree.Believe me I have not lost my identity.
Do hope your broken leg is not serious.
I am the grand-daughter of Anna Margaret Kinter, Whatever bit of genealogy I do on the Kinter family would be mine and my childrens.

I find it most interesting going back in history, you see my other grandparents came from Wales and my inlaws came from England, their names are Jones from Wales and Bytheway from England.

I didn't know much about my ancestors , it seems they were very close with any info about them. I really do research what I find, I don"t believe everything people say or do. I have seen the book Bill Kinter wrote.

I have gone to the library and have been researching Scotland and went thru the "doomsday" book also. You see I live in Ohio and have some access to the books from Kent State Library. Also in Cleveland they have a large genealogy library at Western Reserve. I would appreciate if you would send me a copy of the tartan.

Maybe sometime when I come to Pa in the summer I could possibly come and see these items from Philip, I would love that. I usually come in the summer to do research

.

Suit yourself.

I haven't been to this mailbox in weeks. I just found your request now, and Gina's answer.

I build and monitor close to a dozen not for profit web sites, I edit books, and that's in addition to work, my own business, and all the rest of the things I do.

I did tell you before, I don't get on these boards often.

If you got the tartan, fine. There will ne no more contributions here from me.

take care.
