PAULA KAY KINTIGH & TERESI M. KINTIGH
Services for Paula Kay Kintigh, 3, and
Teresi M. Kintigh, 1, daughters of Gary
Kintigh, Manhatten, Kansas, and Mrs Richard
Franklin, Jones, will be at 2 pm Tuesday
at the Crawford-Miller Funeral Home, Lyons,
Kansas, with burial in Lyons Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Bill Eisenhour
Northeast Funeral Home until 10 pm Monday.

The two children were killed as a result
of injuries received in a car-train wreck in
Jones.

Other survivors include a step-brother,
Jeffrey S. Franklin of the home; three step-
sisters, Pamela Franklin, Marty Franklin, and
Leah Franklin, all of the home; their step-
father, Richard Franklin of the home; paternal
grandparents, Mr and Mrs Cletus Kintigh, Lyons,
and their maternal grandmother, Mrs Lois Mehl,
Lyons.

My grandmother was a Kintigh and I've recently learned that her father's father was born in Ohio. I'm working my way back but only just started creating a family tree so I'm not back far enough to know the first names of anyone in Ohio. Are you still looking for Kintigh connections?

Anyone interested in a scan of the "Certificate of Disability" issued Aug 12, 1865 showing that William F. Kintigh was incapable of performing duties of a soldier. Issued in Defiance Co, Ohio.

Hi Dorothy,

I have copied of the Mt. Pleasant estate deed which shows the Kintighs right next door. I believe the second Kintigh marriage was after the death of one of the son's first wife. I don't have immediate access to my Gedcom file but I can send it if you are interested. I was trying to attach a text file but Roots Web wouldn't accept it. I am very interested in the Margarets family as it isa mystery to me. I would love a copy of the Will if you are able to get one.

I also descend from Adam Fisher and his wife, Ann Margaret Miller, through their daughter who married Daniel Kintigh. I would be interested in the name of another of Margaret's siblings who married a Kintigh.
I have a copy of the will of Ulrich Miller which proves Adam Fisher's wife was Ann Margaret Miller. Ann was apparently a grace name which she did not use.

I am a decendant of Adam Fisher and his wife Margaret. ( I am from Henry's line) From the land deed copies I have, at least two of the children married into the Kintigh line. They lived near Mt. Pleasant, PA (present day Norvelt, PA).

Correction to previous message. Baptismal records for the six oldest children of Daniel and Margaret (Fisher or Fischer) Kintigh (Adam, Daniel, John, Anna Maria and Jacob) may be found in the records of the Greensburgh First Reformed Church, 1779-1815, Greensburgh, PA. Records for the younger children are in the St. John's records. Sorry.

Cheryl, I have only one Floyd Kintigh in my database. He was born 2 Feb. 1914 and his wife was named Virginia. I do not have her surname.
This Floyd belongs in the Jacob Kintigh family line. The historian for that line is Milton Cook. You might check with him to see if he knows anything helpful to you. His E-mail address is m.cook1@juno.com.
If you want further information on this Floyd, I do have his ancestry.

Thank you for the information. Can you tell me more about them? My information gave Floyd married to Virginia and Lloyd married to Helen. Were they turned around? Did Floyd have children also?
We are updating and correcting the Kintigh family history and I have very little on Vince Kintigh's family.

John Kintigh was baptized in Westmoreland County, PA 19 Feb 1804. You may find this record in Birth and Baptism Records, St. John's Reformed Congregation and St. John's Lutheran Church, 1748-1845-1945, Beaver Printing Co., 1925, p. 60.

I am researching the Kintigh aspect of my ancestry and would like to access documents that show John Kintigh, b. Dec. 25, 1803, in Westmoreland Co., PA with parents Daniel Kintigh and Margaret (Fisher) Kintigh. Are there any church documents recording his baptism?

Dorothy: My mother, Mildred Kintigh, communicated with you back in the 80's, and I have a copy of the ancestral search you had done. She also sent you a number of pictures. I have many more that you might be interested in, and with today's technology, it would be easy to scan and send them to you. I recently started a site at myfamily.com for the decendents of Glen and Myrta Kintigh of Camden, Michigan. I've often thought about you and wondered if you were still working on the family. I would love to help in any way I can. Mildred died of cancer in 1985 in Florida, and her husband, Dwane, died in Atwater, California of heart failure in 1988. I am assuming that you still live in California, but I'm not quite sure where. Please e-mail me, or I will check back at this site for a reply.

im looking for my grandpas son that was adopted out on july 25 1944.givin name at birth was wilson vince kintigh born july 18 1936.his adopted parents were lesterl bunker and hazel h bunker so its believed he goes by wilson bunker at this time..real parents were floyd kintigh and anna smith kintigh..if any one could give me any information i would appreciate it so email me and let me know...ive never seen him and was wondering if hes still alive....thanks

Haven't been doing much research for past year and saw your message wanting information on Kintigh. My husband is decended from Daniel, Jacob and then George who married Barbara Ann Benedict. Their daughter Elizabeth Margaret married my husband's grandfather Wilson Mclaughlin.If any of these names help you I will be glad to give you what information I have. Do you still have copies of your first book?

We are working on an update of the Kintigh family history and would like the help of all Kintighs who can submit information. All members of the Kintigh family descend from Daniel Kindig, b. 1777, PA, probably Lancaster County, and died 1 Feb 1847, Evansport, Williams Co., OH and his wife, Margaret Fisher through one of four sons, Adam (who remained in Westmoreland County, PA), John, Jacob or William. The latter three moved to Williams County, OH in the 1830's.

I would love to have the information you have on George and Barbara Bendict Kintigh's line. You are the first one I've had contact with.
The book is sold out which is why I'm working on an update. I'll be glad to share information on the earlier generations although you probably have everything I have.

Is there any record of a Fanny E Kinteigh/Kintigh in your family? She married Daniel Phillips around the beginning of the 1900's or so.
