Any chance there could be a Christian Kinzel among your Augsburg relatives? My grandfather, Christian Kinzel, came to the US from Bavaria sometime in the late 1850's to 1860's. Nothing is known about his parents or possible siblings. Any information would be helpful.
Thanks,
Bunny

My wife is Laurel (Tangen) Linde. Her grandmother was Molly (Kinzel)Tangen the daughter of George Kinzel the son of John Henry Kinzel. This Kinzel branch are Volga Germans that moved to the Montana Hi-Line about 1890-1910. I don't know if this is the same John Henry Kinzel. We have a great picture of John Henry Kinzel and family (presumably) in Russia in a camel driven sleigh given to us from Sarah (Kinzel) Wold.

Steve Linde
Billings, MT

Looking for any information at all on Christian Kinzel who came from Bavaria in the 1860's or 1870's and settled either in New Jersey or Philadelphia. His birthdate is around 1856. Not much is known about him except that he is listed as a confectioner in the 1880 census in New Jersey and always seemed to work with food. He married Lucy Richardson in 1893 and the family settled in Philadelphia. They had 7 or 8 children, one of whom is my father, William Richardson Kinzel. I would be grateful for any information. Please respond to Bunnyr925@aol.com. Thanks!

I see nothing about your Kinzel names on this tree as of yet. I will continue to keep and open eye for you. I myself have been looking a few years and am just tickled to finally find anything.
sincerely
Maureen

George Kienzle / Catherine Bone

I am looking for information on my Grandfather's (Henry A. Kinzel) family (working backwards). I know he lived in Brooklyn when he died in 1946, but I do not know where he was born or where the family came from. He was born in 1903 to George Kienzle and Catherine Bone. He married Mary Dieckman in Brooklyn in 1928. I would love to find more information on this side of my family. I am told that his mother Catherine Bone was 1/2 Mohican. Can anyone help?

My grgrgrandfather Johann came to America in 1853 from Augsburg,Germany. I don't know anything about his siblimgs at this point. He settled in Adrian, Michigan but I have been told that he came from a large family an some of them did settle in Kentucky and Tennessee. There iss a slightt chance that we could be related. I did find Dennis and my grgrrgrandmother and her parents. There are a lot of Kinzel's from Augsburg so you might want to try there. Good luck andd if I find anything I will E-mail.Roberta

Researching Charles Kinzel family; lived in Harford County, Maryland about 1790-1810 before moving to Morgan County, Ohio. Many of his children moved to Illinois in the 1860's. We know his namestake is buried in the Pisgah Cemetery in Bloom Township, Morgan County, Ohio. We believe the elder Charles and his wife were later moved to the Pisgah Cemetery from their original resting place due to road construction through that cemetery.

I have almost given up trying to find anyone who may know something about apart of my grandma Grazier/Kinzel the only imformation I have is there was a relationship between "Doc" Gallagher and Mr.Kinzel.Both I believe were from Germany and they settled in Sheboygan,Wisconsin. Here Mr.Kinzel must have married for Frances Ida, Susan and their two brothers were born and raised here. Whether "Doc" married or not I do not know. Kinzel and family traveled west while the children were young. They went as far as they could by train and then by covered wagon,Gallagher came west with them.He was called "Doc"because he could fix anything. All I know is Francis Ida Kinzel must have been born in Sheboygan Wisconsin and died in Portland Or. She married Oddie Grazier/they divorced they had 8 children, their youngest son Stanley was my father who I really didn't know much about since my parents divorced before I was born, I did visit with him a few times when young.
