Christine, I truly hope you find your father. I can only tell you that he dated my sister for a short time around 1970. He seemed nice, although a little obsessive. He also seemed very smart, and I've always thought he would have done well financially. Have you tried the school sites like classmates.com and reunion.com?

Not that I know of, but it's very possible we all have Heinrich as a common ancestor. The Kipker side of my family comes from Lima, OH. My grandfather, Albert is from there.

Randy, this is Chris (Roy's son). We've met as children when you lived in Chalmette. Your mom is my Aunt Betty, and I remember Uncle Albert, your late father. We share the same paternal grandfather.

Hi Debi. I know him as "uncle Ric," tall and thin with long hair (sometimes black, sometimes silver). He is my dad's (Roy Albert) half brother, and yes my grandfather Albert Sr. was his father. He occasionally visits my parents, and is supposed to be there Sept. 1st. I'll mention your name to him. E-mail me if you have any specific questions or messages.

Haven't checked on here for a long time but someone else from our class of '73 emailed me this week, looking for information on Ric Kipker, who lived in Lima until the early 1970's and moved to the Gulf Shores, Alabama area and later N. Grandma Kipker's Lemon Cookies

Does any Kipker descendent have the recipe for the lemon cookies that was passed down by my grandmother's grandmother? It is for lemon cookies which are similar to a shortbread or sugar cookie.

The difference is that you use lemon OIL, not flavoring or extract and BAKERS AMMONIA. I have NEVER found another living person outside my own family that has this recipe.

Our family makes this cookie usually around Thanksgiving or Christmas. My grandmother always made it and it's not a holiday without it.

I was hoping to find someone else who loves the taste of these ammonia-smelling cookies! I'm sure it is probably only known to the Kipkers!!

My grandmother's mother was a Kipker. She married my G grandfather who was named Eugene Bennett.

I don't remember her first name, but will get more info on her soon. Have been too busy with other lines to work on this one.

My grandmother married a Chapman, from Mercer Co. Ohio--Celina area. She told me her family lived in Indianapolis when she was a kid and they came to Ohio because her father worked on the railroad. They wound up in Logan County.

I am interested in sharing some info, but right now I don't have much on the Kipkers. Grandma is still living and we have been working on some of the info she has. She is in her 80's. She always told me that if I found somebody with the last name of Kipker, I was probably related to them. I would love to tell her how right she is!!!

Ray Stanley Kipker

Ray Stanley Kipker died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003, at his home in Capay. A native of Paulding, Ohio, Mr. Kipker spent the last 46 years in Yolo County. He was 78 years old.

Mr. Kipker joined the Navy in 1942 at the age of 17. He served in the Pacific Theater during World War II. After the work he worked for International Rice Mill in Woodland for 26 years. He retired in 1989.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Gertie; daughter, alice douglas of Sacramento; sons, Stanley of woodland, Dennis and his wife Tracy of Sacramento, and Steven of Capay.

He is also survived by granddaughters, Deanna Rocamora and her husband Regie of Sacramento, Christy Herr of Sacramento; grandson, Steven Ray Kipker of Woodland; as well as four great-granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, four half-brothers, four half-sisters, and a grandson, Stanley W. Kipker, Jr. Services are under the direction of McNary's Funeral Chapel of Woodland

Services: A visitation is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 11, at McNary's Chapel in Woodland. A graveside service is scheduled for 2:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 12, at the Capay Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Yolo Hospice, P.O. Box 1014, Davis., 95617; the Northern California Cancer Society, 1765 Challenge Way, Sacramento, 95815; or the Esparto Regional Library, P.O. Box 787, Esparto, 95627.

My Grand Father is the late Albert L. Kipker Sr. and my Father is the late Albert L. Kipker Jr. and my Oldest Brother is Albert L. Kipker III.

My grand father lived in Lima Ohio though my Father was born in Florida... moved back to Lima when he was 9 years old.

We lived in New Orleans most of my life and I now reside in North Alabama.

Ok, Debi, just read your post and saw my cousin Darin's post of his father. Al Sr. was Ric's dad, as well as Darin's dad. They, Darin, Randy and Little Al dad was second to the oldest, my mother was the oldest (half sister), then there was Gary and then Ric. (Ric is my uncle as was Uncle Al, II).....

Ric is still attempting to seek his fame and fortune in Nashville, writing music, and of course, he is married.

I see you posted this some time ago...so hope you check occassionally. Just curious if you are by any chance related to a Ric Kipker who was born in Lima, Ohio. I was thinking his dads name was Albert also, but I know you aren't his brother!! He did have an older brother tho, and the family moved to like the Gulf Shores, Alabama area, or La. in about 1972. Ric was my high school boyfriend and am trying to track him down to see if life has been good to him. If he is any relation to you, and you can forward any info, I would appreciate it. I've found a website that describes a Henry Kipker from Germany. I haven't been able to connect anyone there to my family, but since Lima, Oh is mentioned, and since my grandfather, Albert is from Lima there must be a connection. The website address is http://www.angelfire.com/mi/thompkej/
