Thanks for your interest and reply. Capt. George Kippen was
my great great grandfather (born on 6 Sept.1779 not 1766 making him only 13 yrs older than Julia).Captain George's
fifth child was George Adam Crooks who settled in South Africa. He had 9 children the second oldest son being Horatio Colin Campbell Kippen and the fifth eldest son was my grandfather John Colquhuan Kippen. If you could let me have your email address I can give you more info.
