Don't know if your Emma Schultz is the one I am searching for or not. My Emma was born in 1873 to William and Dora Schultz in Iowa. She had one sister, Meinie and brothers, William, Henry and Fritz. Where was your Emma born and who were her parents? Please reply to Connie at lynadler@mchsi.com

From Seultourn to Chicago early 1900's

My great grandmother Maria Kristof came to Chicago from Seultourn Nov. 9 1906. She was joining her uncle Arthur Nussbaum who married Anna Kipper. On that ship was Jakob Kipper and his younger daughter listed also as Anna. He was 45 and she was 16, also of Seultourn. A few days earlier on another ship from the same town of Seultourn was a 25 year old Josef Kipper going to join a brother Franz, who came over from Seultourn Mar 16, 1906. Oct 8, 1903 there was the arrival from Seultourn a Theresia Kipper who was joined Apr 25, 1904 by a sister Elisabeth Kipper. There were several other Kristof's who came between 1905 and 1906, and a Johann Bogner age 39 who arrived Mar 3 1905 from Sueltourn. Bogner is the maiden name of Maria's mother. Any help would be great...am trying to put them together.

Don, I believe these Kippers to be the children of James P. Kipper in Sangamon County IL for the 1830 census. I believe Thompson P. Kipper, who later settled near Mt. Auburn in adjacent Christian County IL, to be my gggrandfather. Does any of this coincide with what you have? I would appreciate knowing any other information you have about this family or bible. At this point I have not encountered your Brownlee, Bohanon or McDole families but I will share all information I have about Kippers and Taylors.
Marilyn Taylor Clark

We have been in contact before but at the time your computer was down. I had an aunt Magdelena Kipper who married a Klemet and lived in Earl Grey. Speaking with her daughter she mentioned of hearing of a Kipper family in the area but understood they where not related. Sounds almost impossible. Can we get together on information we have?

Hi,
Thanks for that information. It explains why I could not find where Laura died and was buried. I only had her first marriage, the one to Jacob Kipper. After your post I went to the Kansas Genweb site and found that they had recently posted the Kismet Cemetery transcription. It had the following for Louthan:
Louthan Edwin N.Jan 7,1866-April 25,1940
Louthan Floy C.1893-1989
Louthan Abbie C.1891-1984
Louthan Laura N.1870-1933
Could send the rest of the obit on to me? My e-mail is kodoma@directvinternet.com I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Pat
Kippers Searching.

Hi, my name is Theresa and I was recently asked how I fit in with the other Kippers. My Grandfather's name is Sammie
Kippers who died in June of 1995. My father's name is Vernell Kippers who now lives in Gurnee Illinois with his second wife. My mom (Doris Lee Kippers) died in August 1987 on the 24th day. Now I have no knowledge of who their parents names are so I am left in the cold. Most of this information you can find out on the internet and since I no longer have a computer I am unable to look up anything unless I go to the library. Most of the time I'm unable to do that because I work during the day. Go to Ancestry.com and you all will find a large listing of most kippers family members. Either one of you can email me at terrik2k2@yahoo.com or call me at 901-644-1888. Again, my name is Theresa V. Kippers God Bless You

Pat,
I am a descendant of Andre and Catharine Gatchine through Joseph Henry and Martha Lenora Ward. The information I have only goes back as far as Andre Kipper (1718-1782) and Anna Maria Burg (1732-1808). I have posted a tree on this site.
Much of the information that I have came from others, especially George Kipper who has also posted in this bulletin board.

I can't help in your question but I am trying to locate my Kipper relatives from in or around St. Louis. Maybe you can help.

My great Uncle John Kipper (who passed away circa 1960) had two sons, Henry and Peter and at least one sister. My mom & dad used to visit Henry and Peter and their wives, I have pictures of such visits. John (Jernos) Kipper was origianally from Holdfast, Saskatchewan, Canada and moved to St. Louis in the early part of the 20th century. He is my granfdfather's brother (one of four).

Grant Kipper

Hi:

according to the time of birth of your John Kipper certificate this John could very well be the son of John (Jernos) Kipper I am looking for. John (Jernos) would have been born approximately 1870 - 1885 (the dates of his known brothers)
Have you any idea if your John had or has a brother Henry and Peter?
