BRUBAKER, Helen age 87, of Gratis, Ohio died Fri. Feb. 26, 2010 at her home.
She was born Oct. 18, 1922 in Gratis, Ohio to Martin Luther and Lucy (Eby) Kiracofe.
She was a member of the Gratis Church of the Brethren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert D. Brubaker on March 24, 2004.
She is survived by their four children, Pamela Brubaker, Simi Valley, CA; Douglas Brubaker, Gratis, OH; Beverly Brubaker (Joann Jones), Camden, OHIO and Jonathan (Deborah) Brubaker, Gratis, OH; and "bonus" daughter Nancy Kiracofe of Camden, OH; grandchildren: John D. Lowe, Cory Lowe (Kate), Levi Brubaker, Ian Brubaker (Heidi), Amanda Myers (Joe), Travis Brubaker, Mark Jones (Connie), Kim Tufts, Thomas Jones, Tammy Mullinix (Paul), Anthoney Jones (Cliff Schrock), Joey Jones, Jenny Jones (Elisa Malin), Julie Horstman, Jessica Jones, Jackie Wright (Brian), Keith Hughes, John Wickham (Lisa), and Jan Parker; great grandchildren Isabella and Kayla Lowe, Ava and Atticus Brubaker, Gabriel and Abigail Myers, Bill Ritter (Natalie), Wendi McHugh (Matt), Mark Jones Jr. (Mandy), Jessica and Sarah Stephens, Jodell Templeton, Jason Noel (Allison), Sarah D. Strausburg (Josh), Holly Lessing (David), Sarah Mullinix, Amy Horstman, Matthew and Jacob Wright, J. P. Wickham, and Roegina Harris; great great grandchildren: Cara and Gwyneth Jones, Noah and Preston, Scotty, Courtney and Da'veon Templeton, Jason Noel Jr., Jordan, Carleigh Strausburg, and Chloe Brock.
She is also survived by brothers, Albert and Alfred Kiracofe, sister Betty Willis, sisters-in-law Jean Shafer Kiracofe, Evelyn Kiracofe, and Marjorie Kiracofe, and double cousin Lois Gene Holland.
Helen also leaves many cherished nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved.
She was preceded in death by her siblings Louise Patton, Virginia Shafer, Grace Shafer, Howard Kiracofe, Edith Snyder, Clayton Kiracofe, and Eugene Kiracofe.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Monday, March 1, 2010 at Gratis Church of the Brethren, on St. Rte. 503 in Gratis, with Pastor Shawn Wilges officiating.
Friends may call at Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral Home in Gratis on Sunday from 2-4 P.M.
