Classification: Query
Surnames: Kirk, Fender, Ogilvie
I am also seeking information on a William Kirk, my great uncle. He was born circa 1883 in Dundee, Angus, Scotland, the youngest child of David Kirk and Margaret (Fender) Kirk.
His siblings were: Janet/Jessie, George, David (my grandfather), Elizabeth/Lizzie, Margaret/Maggie, and Catherine/Kate.
At some point as a young adult (after 1911?) he is believed to have emigrated to Canada, probably settling, at least for a time, in the Verdun borough of greater Montreal where his brother David and sister Kate (Kirk) Ogilvie along with their spouses and children had earlier taken up residence.
The only reason I know of William at all is from a notation on an old family photo that was recently sent to me. This notation also points to his possible employment with the CPR/Canadian Pacific Railway.
Do we have a match?
