I'm looking for any clues concerning the parents of Mahala Kirkbride. Mahala was born in Ohio around 1810, in or near Monroe County. She married James Smith (who died in 1840), then David John (who died around 1850), and finally Isaac Edwards (who died after 1880). Mahala was in Monroe County, Ohio until about 1860 when she moved to Clay County, Illinois to be near her grown children. Several Kirkbride families lived in and near Monroe County, Ohio in the early 1800's but I can not determine which parents belong to Mahala. Any help appreciated.
