I am searching for information on the Kitto family. My husband's grandfather, David John Kitto, was the son of David A. Kitto. David A. was born ca. Feb. 1857 in WI(?), and died between 1910 and 1920. The last record I have is the 1910 census for Neenah, WI. He was married to Eleanor Owens and had 4 children Norman, Owen, David J., and Eleanor F. The 1920 census shows Eleanor as a widow. I have been unable to find any information on his parents or spouse. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

H R Kitto is a family member(gg Grandfather). I will look into this for you soon. He went by Richard and his son was named H R and went by the name Henry..Many called him simply HR. My grandfathers name was Robert Henry Kitto.

my dgtr Lauri inquired about Ralph Kitto. he was born to Frank and Minnie Kitto who came from Mich to Minn. Ralph left home worked on the boats ended up dying in Miami FL . He was my husbands uncle and we wonder if anyone knew him in Fl. And where he's buried.

i notice that there is a Paula Mary kitto listed as belonging to Murray and my family. Sorry this is not the correct information. Not sure how this happened but some one has got the wrong information from somewhere. we have certainly never lived in the Wellington area and don't have another daughter

Hello,
Elizabeth Kitto (1804-1849) was my great great grandmother. She lived in Breage and married John Pine of Devon. Her parents were Richard Kitto and Jennifred Jane Williams.

I've got a Kitto tree but I'm confused in its presentation. My line, or one of them, is through Elizabeth Jane Kitto who married Edwin/Edward Bawden/Bowden.

Jeremy Jem Kitto is my brother. He was adopted when he was 3 years old. I am the oldest in the family, Dawn Kitto. There are two of us that were born naturally to our parents and 5 who were adopted. Why are you researching him?

Frank Kitto was with us from about 1999 till he died. We knew him before that, and spent a lot of time helping him get along. We had his son come to visit, but that only made Frank mad. The boy only came for money.
No other Kin ever came to visit. Frank is buried in the Kerrville Memorial Garden, juat north of I- 10 on State Hwy 16 heading toward Fredericksburg. As you come to the cemetery turn in on the first road. Park by the shade tree and Frank and Bertha are about 50 feet back toward Kerrville, near the edge. I spent a lot of time talking to him and our boys called him Grandpaw and read the bible to him. I entered everything I could find on the Kito family through research and a family letter done in the 80's.
We tried to find the new children, but had no success. I have entered Franks family in the format used by ancestory. I will try to add some late pictures to it.

I'm a Cornish cousin of yours since my great-great-grandmother Isabella Hebbard was a sister to John Henry Hebbard who married Mary Anne Kitto. My mother's maiden name was Hebbard and I'm always happy to see the Hebbard name because I know they're related. Isabella and her son Josiah Richards Hebbard Sr. came to Ishpeming, Michigan and then eventually settled in Mohawk and Calumet, Michigan. I'd be happy to share any information I have. This is a long shot in the deepest dark but my great grand-father, Peter Kitto, was from Cornwall, England, and left in the 19th century to live in London where he was a painter of faux finishes and married Catherine Sarah Pudney from Suffolk in East Anglia. They lived in the Notting Hill section of London and gave birth to my grandmother, Mary Louisa Kitto (the last or next to the last of c. 8 children) who was born Nov. 11, 1883.

Any connection to your line of the family?

In 1930 at Flint MI an aunt Laura Dennis age 55 (Wid) born MI
was living with them.

I am researching Laura Dennis (her husband was Joseph H
Dennis born about 1864 and died between 1920 when they
lived at Calument MI and 1930 when she lived at Flint, MI
with Joseph Kitto.

Also living at the household in 1930 was a Cora Wheeler age
61 born Indiana.

Correction to my last post is as follows: this is on Leroy Kitto b18Jun1890 plattsville,Wisconsin, This info comes from a person family source.His family originally came from Cornwall,England and the family name was originally "Christopher" and Ken Stewart(htttp://members.iinet.au/~kjstew/A%20second%20KITTO%20Newsletter.htm) has a nice piece of work published on the Name Kitto and it's origins. Enough on that, Mr.Kitto's mother was of german descent and she originally came from Prussia. Her family name was Schrumn or Schramm. They settled in Wisconsin and were hotel people.***This is where I could use your assistance :What's first name of Leroy's Father? I Have it narrowed down to John Or James. Our Family say John But according to the previous post she has her great grandfather as James Henry Kitto and he married Carrie Lena Schramm, and their daughter was her grandmother, born in Rockville and her name was Velma then this is a match. Researching my New Zealand THOMAS family- my grandmother has a photo of Charles Kitto & wife Catherine (Thomas) taken in Napier around 1890 I would say. I presume Catherine was the sister of Mary Thomas of Zennor Cornwall married to William Thomas they and their family emmigrated to NZ arriving on the Inverness 1875, Napier. If yours is a connection I would be most interested.

Hi Bernard - Dr John Kitto and Annabella Fenwick are my great,great,great grandparents. Their son Edmund Spensor Kitto and his wife and kids were living in Hackney and then Stoke Newington and appear in the 1891 and 1901 census entries, but listed under "Kitts" and "Ketts" instead of Kitto.

You may have already spotted that John and Annabella's marriage is registered in the Pallots marriage index

I have more family tree going down to the Ashtons, but not much going upwards. Do you have any details about John and Annabella' s relatives ?

She was Mary Jane Resinger. She married a Jason Hughes and had about 4 children. She then married a Unk Grammer and had one child named John. She married my Larkin and had two children. Then she married a Thomas Kitto.

When Kitto died, he was buried next to his first wife.

I now know a few more things about this woman.
