Joshia KITZMILLER is my Great Grandfather and I would love to have a copy of his picture. I have Marriage License, to Lillie Gilbert, Death Certificate and Obituary for Joshia, but no photos.
William Azer KITZMILLER (1899)is my Grandfather.
I'd never heard of the book, but will be on the look-out for it now.

Hi! I am researching my Kitzmiller roots. Does anyone have a copy of the books "From the Danube to the Susquehanna: 350 of the Kitzmiller Family" that I could purchase? Would LOVE to get my hands on these. Does anyone have any photos of any Kitzmillers along the line of: Joachim (1600), Thomas (1634), Johannes (1665), Hans Martin (1708), Johannes (1734), Jacob (1773), Jacob Unger (1816), Henry (1840), Josiah (1880). I have one photo of Josiah Kitzmiller that I would share.

I am in the process of researching my mothers ancestry she is a Kitzmiller. I have some information that might help. Most Kitzmiller entered thru North Carolina. Additional spelling was Kitzmuller. My Grandfather was Homer Kitzmiller his father was James Otis Kitzmiller. There were Three Kitzmiller brothers who had emigrated together and more followed. They emigrated from Germany in the late 1700,s. I found them with documents on the www.footnote.com site. You will find Naturalization and census records in North Carolina will assist you in finding them. I have a David Kitzmiller right now that I am working on but he is older then your David. If I had some additional information I could help you on him.

Hans Martin Kitzmiller was born near Walldorf, Baden-Württemberg, in about 1705. I have his death date as between 1786-1788. He was the son of Johannes Kitzmiller, Sr., the immigrant ancestor of the family in America, and Christina Dyerhin. I have information on the family back into Austria that I will gladly share if you will write to me at my personal address.

Maria, widow of William Kitzmiller (Kittsmiller)

My 2x-great-grandmother, Maria, married Ervin HALL on 4 Sep 1845 in Henry Co, Indiana. In the 1850 Census for Cambridge Twp, Wayne Co, Indiana (just across the county line from Henry County) a George W. KITTSMILLER (age 6) was living with her and her husband. A Harriet KITTSMILLER (age 10) was living with the Wesley GOODWIN family in New Castle, Henry, Co in 1850 (perhaps sent there to attend school) Because of this, I believe Maria was the widow of one William KITTSMILLER who was enumerated in 1840 in Centre Twp, Wayne Co, Indiana.

In the 1880 Census, George W. KITTSMILLER reported that both of his parents were born in Pennsylvania. At this point my best candidate for William KITTSMILLER is William Lechner KITZMILLER who was born in 1811 in Berks Co, Pennsylvania, the son of Benjamin and Catherine (Forry) KITZMILLER.

I am searching for the maiden name of my 2x-great-grandmother, Maria. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hans Martin Kitzmiller married Juliana Beckner. Their son, Joannes, was born 1734 in Conewago, Adams,. PA.
Joannes married Anna M. Schreiber after 1760 and died 20 Aug 1804 in Manheim, York, PA.

Elizabeth, wives of Benjamin and Adam KITZMILLER before 1850

Benjamin KITZMILLER was born 1776 in what is now Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. He married Elizabeth ----- about 1804, probably in Ohio and he died in 1856 in Logan, Ohio. His wife probably died between 1840 and 1850 in Logan.

Benjamin's father was George Adam Kitzmiller (1744-1805) who married Elizabeth ----- probably in the late 1760s in Lebanon Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The family moved to Washington County, Maryland in about 1783 and then to Fairfield County, Ohio in about 1800. George Adam died in Ohio in 1805 and his widow is believed to have returned to Washington County, Maryland before 1840 to live with her son, John, and died there.

Can anyone help me identify the two Elizabeths, above,.... maiden names, parents, dates of birth, death and marriage, places of burial, etc.?

Ann Catherine KITZMILLER was born 9 May 1741 in Hanover, York County, PA; married John Ludwig reinhold WYSONG in 1765 and died 5 Nov 1802 in Loretto, Cambria, PA.

The Kitzmiller (Kitzmuller) was from Austria and then migrated to Germany before comming to America.

The way I was told was that the Kitzmuller's (Kitzmiller's) originated fro the Kitzbuehl region of upper Austria. They migrated to Bavaria to Leimen Germany near Heidelberg before comming to Pennsylvania.

Hello my search is for David Kitzmiller, I have no information on him only that he was probably born around 1825-1835. He married a Mary Jane Hubley and they had a daughter named Emma Sophie Kitzmiller, she was born 27 Sep 1852, and died 17 Mar ?. Also she married a David A Lutz on 28 Apr 1876. I have the line from there but no further info, so anything would be greatly apperciated.

Sonny, you have made my day!! I've had trouble sleeping lately and my time has been spent on the computer doing alot of research, on my family and my husbands. David Kitzmiller is my husbands 4thGreatgrandfather. The infomation you gave is invaluable, and I am forever greatlful!! I have a question though, it looks like a person is missing kinda. Johannes Jr, was born in 26 FEB 1691, and died 1745, so he had John Jacob when he was 50 and died 4 years later??Also I notice that you have HUMMEL on the surnames I have Suzanna Hummel as David Lutz mother, married to Amos Lutz, born 20 Sep 1821. Died in 1904, do have further info on them? Shirley Ann Lutz is my grandmother-in-law and he father was John Cramer Lutz, any similarities closer to us??

Zebulon was the son of John Michael, the son of John George, the son of Martin, the son of Johannes and Christina - the immigrants in 1728 from Waldorf, Germany. The line is traced back to 1600 in Austria - see my books.

Zebulon married Ann Willis Forest, dau of Jonathan C. Forrest. She was born 1 Dec 1819. Both her and husband buried in Mt. Carmel cemetery, Adams County, PA.

Her name was Maria Catherina, and was born in Germany. She was the daughter of Johannes Kitzmueller and Christina Dyerhin. He was born in Immeldorf. See my books on the family.

He is my ancestor also. A lot of info on him is mentioned in my books on the Kitzmiller family. His ancestry is traced back to Austria in the 1600's.
