Donald J. Klemm, Sr.
Donald J. Klemm, Sr., age 80,
of Erie, died Thursday, February 19, 2009 at Twinbrook Medical Center. He was born in Erie on February 25, 1928, son of the late Jacob and Edith Stahl Klemm. He was a lifelong Erie resident. Don was affiliated with St. James R.C. Church. He was a truck driver working at Hardinger’s and retired from Preston Transfer. Don was a member of 19th St. Polish Falcons. Donald was a U.S. Army veteran. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing softball and being an umpire with area softball teams. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Patricia Noyer Klemm; two sons, Donald J. Klemm, Jr. of Erie and Robert A. Klemm (Wendy) of Springboro, Pa; two daughters, Debra A. Bossart (Joseph) of Millcreek and Patricia A. Swaim (William) of Union City; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by two sisters, Audrey Beach and Eleanor Wall.
Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc. East, 2607 Buffalo Road on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a prayer service there on Monday at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at St. James R.C.
