My name is Linda A. Klemp. I am the sister of Duane, which would make me your aunt. I now live in Milwaukee. I recently had contact with Cindy and Kathy Klemp, my half-sisters. I am meeting with Cindy and Kathy on 3/28/09 for the first time since the 1970's. Grandma Leona is celebrating her 100th birthday this April. Hi Angela,
I am your father's cousin, Wendy (Klemp) Lavoie. We were all born in Fredonia Wisconsin and lived most of our lives there. Your great grandmother, Leona Klemp is still alive and living with your great aunt Evelyn Tetzlaff in Grafton. I don't know his real mother's name; your father was one of three children by your grandfather Donalds first wife. The other two are Kenneth (might live in Fredonia still in Great Grandma Klemp's house) and Linda. Only Grandma Klemp ever spoke with Linda. Your father had several half brothers and sisters; Keith, Kathy, Cindy, Jeff and Kevin. Keith lives in NC with my brother Rick. I am sad to hear you have not had contact with the family. Angela, I think I can help you out a bit. I believe I am your cousin. My dad is Duane's brother. I remember Duane passed away when I was about 5 or 6 years old. If you want, send me an email and I can give you some family info.

Correction, in my previous message I thought Harold Klemt (my grandfather) was an only child. My recent research discovered Harold was one of three sons of Franz & Amanda Klemt. The 1910 federal census of Cook Co. IL. shows a LeRoy A.E. age 11, and a Leslie F.A. age 6 along with Herold age 13

Franz Klemt's father was Adolph Klemt & Marie (Boehlow) Klemt. Adolph immigrated from Germany in abt.1871 went to Wisconson then to Illinois and settled there. He was a carpenter.

Adolph & Marie had 4 sons, Franz, Charles, Alfred, Richard and a daughter named Alma. Alma & her husband Fred Towle, along with Adolph at the age of 85 are in the 1930 federal census of Illinois.

I am interested in where in Germany they are from and anything else I can learn about the family. Herold Klemt died in 1931 at the young age of 34 we never knew the family well.

I am looking for any living descendents of Oskar Klemp. Oskar was born in Shawano County, Wisconsin, on 12 Jan 1899, and died 01 May 1968. He married Meta Rusch 27 Sep 1941 in Shawano County, Wisconsin. She was born (?) and died 16 Jun 1973. His parents were Hermann Klemp and Ida Winter. Her parents were Otto Rusch and Minnie Bruce.

Looking for my half sister. Her name is Kimberlay Ann was born in Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. Her mother is Linda SCHULTE (maiden name). Father is William Klemp. Linda remarried when Kimberlay was still a baby and her new husband adopted her. This all the information I have. If anyone know of her please email me at mper@yhti.net Any information would be nice. Not sure if we are at all related. My Klemps also from Chicago. My gr grandfather Albert Klemp is buried in what used to be Waldheim Cemetery in Forest Park. His father, I believe, was John Klemp who is buried there too..I haven't been able to go back any farther.

I am looking for information on Klemps from Germany, who landed in Baltimore and ended up in Ozaukee and
Washington Counties in WI. Brothers were John and Emil. At one time several of Johns children lived in Illinois,
specifically Des Plaines. John married a woman whose last name was Knopp, Emils wife was Beimborn. Their

I don't have a cule to the time fram. All I know is his name. My father don't know anything about his father. My father is a only child, his mother was killed when he was 7 months old. So I can't even ask her for any info. So I'm lost. Don't know what to do.

All i know is that the Klemps that are related to me are from USA in Missouri. I'm for sure that his name is William Fredrick he is my father's father. My father is a Jr. so the name would have to be the same. Thanks for asking tho. Hope you have luck in finding out what you are looking for.

this is my first attempt to find info on ggrandparents. Franz Klemt b.1868 in Germany
d.1953 suburb of chicago, not sure which one.I was about 6yrs. old (1946) when we last visited them. I was raised in Chicago. Amanda Heinreich b.1863 in Germany d.1951 in Chicago.Their son was Harold Klemt b.11 Oct.1896 d.6 June 1931 in Chicago.They are all buried at Concordia Cemetery in Forest Park,IL. Harold was married to Edna Maraget Budzynski (my grandmother) I have pictures of the headstones and they spell the name KLEMT.I don't expect to find direct descendants because Harold was an only child and Harold had only one child (my mother)I am hopeing to maybe find that Franz or Amanda had siblings with descendants and someone can tell me where in Germany they came from.

My Father is Fred WilliamIII, and my g'father is Frederick Wilhelm Jr., let me know if you find anything, as with names like that there may be a family connection. Im looking for siblings of Frederick Klemp he was born about 1877 in what is now Gelsenkirchen, Germany (if anyone know what this area used to be I'm trying to find that out too) he married Anna Hutton about 1900, and after her death, her sister Sophie, around 1916, total he had 13 children, his children with Anna are Margarthe 1904, Martha 1906, Frederich 1907, Heinrich 1910, and Whielhelma about 1912, Frederich was sent to war in about 1913......any one know anything about these folks?
