Daniel Schaeffer Kline B: 1882-1885. He was married to a Jesse Ruth Star; they had three sons, Darrel Dennis, Daniel Borst and Robert Bruce. They were divorced and ended up in Oregon. (Don’t know the years)

Son: Daniel Borst Kline was married at least 4 four times and produced 2 sons with Eleanor Ohlson in Fairbanks Alaska. The two sons don’t remember their father or any of the relatives. All they remember about Jesse (grandmother) is she had red hair.
We believe that Daniel produced two daughters with another wife. So far all the research appears that Daniel Borst Kline was never divorced from his first wife in Seattle in early 1940’s.

Decided this was causing too much pain for family members to pursue.
Corrected information:

My Husband Robert was born in 1944 (Fairbanks.)His brother Fred was born in 1943 (Fairbanks.) His parents were married in 1942. Later found out not legal because Daniel was still married.

Daniel Borst Kline (Bob & Fred's father) died in Portland several years ago. He was married (at the time of death) to a nice lady name Carol. We had sevearl nice phone calls. I believe she has passed also. As best we can tell she was wife number four or five!! He was a very busy man!

Daniel Boarst Kline abandoned his wife and two sons in Fairbanks 1946 when Bob was 2 years old. He just took off without giving his location or explanation. He was a bush pilot (Thanks to his in-laws) and lived at the in-laws home (a gift, with wife and 2 sons) my husbands mother was Eleanor Ohlsen. (Passed away) She never recovered from this. As it turns out he was never divorced from the first wife in Seattle. Not sure any of his other marriages are legal.

We had heard that he married again and had 2 daughters and they lived in California. We have found a cousin. Nancy and her father is Robert. That is whom my husband was named after. Daniel, Robert, and Darrel, brothers (all have passed) are from the same parents. Once we got a hold of several family members we found out that Daniel, Robert, & Darrel's parents had been married many times! (More than six times between them) Please feel free to contact us at our email: rnkline@msn.com. There are relatives in Eastern WA, Seattle area, Calif. & Alaska

Daniels history is not the best. Quiet the ladies man. His son Robert is a retired Naval Officer and a respected member of the community. Daniel would have been proud of him. Bob doesn't remember Daniel since he was only two years old when he left. Bob's mother never wanted to talk about Daniel.

We have photos and videos of Daniel with Eleanor and his sons in Fairbanks. Eleanor's family was a prominent member of the Fairbanks Community. There is a lot negative history concerning Daniel.

Regards,
Karyn Kline
Hi. My father was Daniel Borst Kline. He was married to Doris Daniel around 1946. I was born in Alaska in 1947. I have one sister Patricia who was born in Sacramento, CA in 1949. The last time we saw Dan was around 1954 in Long Beach, CA. My sister has been attempting to get information about Dan for years. We know he had a couple other wives but not much else. Any assistance would be great.

c.c.cline was relative on my mothers side, I have posted info and photo's on my site, McGarvey was heir to copyrights on CCs popular hymnals. McGarvey had 3 sisters Sarah Yancey Cline,Sarah May Cline and Effie Fones, all were involved in the Little Rock Arkansas Conservatory of music, I have quite a bit more on this family, glad to share . family notes indicate C.C. changed spelling from Kline to Cline so his initials would match. 45467

Klines (Clines) of Augusta Co., VA

The 1860 census for North Subdivision, Augusta Co., VA shows this grouping:
E. Slults Kline 26
Mary Kline 25
Newton Kline 6
James Kline 4
Frances Kline 2
Lucie Kline 1 mo.
Page Moore 27
Frances Gibson 12

They are listed just after the Christian Kline family and I suspect "E. Slults" or whatever his name is really spelled is a son of Christian and that quite possibly he died in the Civil War. I believe that Mary Kline may be a sister of Page Moore who was a son of James Moore and this is the reason I am posting this message. Can anyone help me to identify this Mary Kline (i) as to her birth family and (ii) what became of her after this census for 1860 since I can find no further trace of her.

Any help will be appreciated.

I am looking for any Information on a Eliza/Elsie Ellen Kline b between 1865-1885 that married John Jarvis b between 1860-1880. John was said to have lived in the Peru,Miami county, Indiana or in Lafayette, Indiana in the latter years. The only child I have of these two is
Walter Earl Jarvis b 1896 d 1965. I have most of the descendants downward from Walter but not much on his ancestors or maybe brothers or sisters. I know that Walter's wife Bettie Skiles was from Owen County Kentucky so thinking at one time they may have traveled/moved to kentucky then back to Indiana not sure. I was told that Walter at one time might have been a minor league baseball player but no conformation on that. John and Eliza apparently both died before or shortly after 1939.

Please if anyone can help it is greatly appreciated.

Our Great Great Grandfather was named Daniel Kline. He was a carpenter in Nebraska. His daughter was Livina Kline and she married a man named Nathan Kaneff. They have daughters named Josephine, Sadie, Minnie and Etta. My grandmother and Sadie were fraternal twins. They had a falling out before my mother was born, and Mom never even met Sadie (this is a nickname). We found pictures of Jo and Sadie just within the last few years. If this sounds right let us know.

In 2004-2007 this Kline line was followed by Betty Powers and Joyce Atkinson of Cal. My husband's mothers line is back to John G. Senseney & Mary P. Kline thru their son, James Madison Senseney, who went to Rockbridge with a brother or two and some of the Rhodes family, all connected from Middletown. Much of what I have on that line is on Rootsweb, but will gladly share anything that could help. I live in Front Royal, about 7 miles from Middletown, and hae just gotten back to this line. you can contact me ar archives@visuallink.com (W) or marytmorris@yahoo.com.
Frank Kline b1888/89 Nebraska - wife Lena (maybe)

I am trying to find more information about Franklin Kline/Klein. He was born April 2 in either 1888 or 1889. I have only the name Lena for his wife.

Franklin may have gone by Frank. He was born in Nebraska, 6th child of 14 by parents Franklin Melthew Klein and Mary Magdalene Loeb. Some of the siblings changed the spelling to Kline, but a majority of them spelled it Klein.

I believe Frank served in the Army. He lived with his oldest brother Fred around Eldorado, Iowa in 1910. His 1917 draft registration has him living in Gregory, South Dakota with a wife and two children. I have not been able to confirm his whereabouts after this. I have found a family with the mother Lena in Minnesota, but I can't firmly connect the two.

Frank died July 14, 1956 in Ramsey County, Minnesota.

If you have any connection or leads, I would appreciate contact. I do have much on his siblings and parents and would be glad to share. I also have a picture I believe to be Frank in uniform and would love to share with someone in his direct family.

Re: Kline Family of Edinboro, Erie Co., PA

Perhaps this is old news since your post was in 2000 but if it's helpful. Regarding some information for the Kline family of Edinboro:
John McGahen (b. 1792)married Lydia Kline, sister of Lizzie who married George McGahen, John's brother. Clarissa Kline (born 1841) married Ezra McGahen (1832-1915). He was the son of John and Lydia. (Their children were: Winfield Scott (1860)(who married Arvilla Adella Hall.) Levi 1862, Etta(1865), John G. (Jack)(1867) who married Rosetta Armenia Stafford (1867); Clyde H.(1871)married Flora Hall (1873)Myrna(1876) married Frank B. Kinger (1876); Edith (1879)who married Robert Rich.

I have two photos you may find interesting: one of Ezra McGahen and one of Clarissa.
Also, there is a special McGahen reunion July 26th 2009 that may be of some interest.

Gerald Kline of Kalamazoo Mi. b. 1905 d. 1965

I’m researching the family of Gerald Kline born 07 Aug 1905 in Kalamazoo Mich. His parent’s names were Jacob G. Kline and Dena (maiden name unknown). He had a twin sister named Lucille Kline. This family is listed in the 1910 and 1920 Census as residing in Kalamazoo Ward 4, Kalamazoo County, Michigan. Jacob is listed as born in Michigan while Dena is listed as born in Holland (The Netherlands?). According to the 1930 census, Jacob and Dena Kline were married about 1905.

In March 1930, Gerald was 24 years old and was living and working in Rapids, Michigan. His eyes were blue his and his hair was light and curly. He was a member of the Dutch Reformed Church. If my research is correct Gerald Kline married Frances M. Spoelstra sometime between 1930 and 1935.

Many Thanks
Patti Molenaar
I have confirmed his parents as being Jonathan R and Martha Brookhart Kline. That was through www.bergergirls.com, (Strausstown roots) My great grandfather Jonathan ( John L ),as far as I know was an only child. His dad was born about 1840. Most of my great Uncles and Aunts lived here in Indiana, but I have found nothing else on Jonathan R and Martha , my gg grandparents. I did have a great Uncle charlie that died from TB when he was young. He had a little girl by the name of Caroline. My mom said she thought she lived in Huntington Indiana but since she has been remarried a couple times noone knows her last name. I don't believe he was a minister. Dianna
