My mother's maiden name is Klobuchar. She was born in Calumet MI in 1920, the youngest of six. There is only one surviving sibling, Dorothy in the Detroit area.

Her parent's were Johann (John) Klobuchar and Maria (Jaaksa) Klobuchar both born in Slovenia. I have been told there were many relatives in the Calumet/Laurium area.



I have been told that the Klobuchar's owned a bar. John K. used to deliver beer to the various bars in town. He was also somewhat of a wine bootlegger during prohibition.

I have family pictures that were taken at weddings in the early 1905-1925 that I can scan. Maybe someone can identify the rest of the family members?
