Hi my name is Kristen and it is said that my Great, Great, Great Grandmother Grandmother is an orphoned Shawnee indian girl, she was born in Virginia (now West Virginia) but I would love to find info on her adopted Mother, and her adopted Mother name was Catherine Klug.

Catherine Klug was married at least three times, all of her husband's died. Catherine first husband was Joseph Reinhart, they got married in 1839 and they had four children: Margaret, John, George, Francis. Joseph died around 1844. Her 2nd Husband was Nicholas Heck they got married on Jan 27,1845. Then on September 16, 1848 Catherine and Nicholas (Klug) Heck adopted my Great, Great, Great Grandmother Mary Gertrude (Heck) Stegmaier, then sometime after September 16, 1848, her 2nd husband Nicholas Heck died, then she re-married for the 3rd time to Joseph Holzinger on Jul 15, 1851. The 1850 census she was listed as a widow and living at Patterson's Creek, VA near Cumberland probably at Nicholas Heck brother's John house.
I would love to know the names of Catherine Klugs parents and if she had any Brother's or Sister's. I think Catherine was born in Germany or Prussia. Thanks to who might know.
