My Kneller's originally came from Kings Somborne.I have several Charles' but my earliest one is 1811. Do you have any earlier Kneller's or other names from around this time I can cross match with my tree? If we can find a link, I can share my info, I have the back to the mid 1600's.

Do you have any dates/years of birth, and parents names? My Kneller's were also from Portsmouth and greengrocers. Perhaps with some firm dates etc I could link you in to my lot. I have them back to the mid 1600's.

I have a Charles Frederick Kneller born c1835 in Southampton who married an Eliza Figes in 1857. Although not directly related to me Charles' father, also Charles, born 1811 was my great grandfather x3's elder brother. If you think we might have a link please feel free to contact me. I am looking for more information about my gr gr grandfather Otto Kneller he was born in 1880 in Kuenzelsau, Stuttgart, Germany. Then came to England and Married...they split up then he met my gr gr grandmother-they didn't marry but had several children!!!

Obit: Hollis Kneller of Iowa (1913-2006)

Hollis Harold Kneller, son of Frank A. and Ruby E. Ellenwood Kneller, was born on March 28, 1913 near Prescott, Iowa. His childhood years were spent near Prescott where he received his education, graduating from Prescott High School in 1931. He worked in the local service station and helped his father farm. He entered the military and served with the United States Army during World War II, from 1941 until his honorable discharge in 1945. His duties included serving in the horse cavalry in the states, three months in Hawaii, and participating in the invasion on Okinawa in the Philippines. Following his honorable discharge, he farmed near Prescott.
On January 28, 1950 Hollis married Veone Cooper Cihak in Creston, Iowa.
In 1960, the family moved to Cedar Falls where he became a certified welder at Curbmaster of America, retiring in 1978. Hollis moved to Nevada, Iowa in 1988. He lived in the Nevada and Ames area until September 2003 when Hollis moved to the Ruthven Assisted Living Facility.
He was a 32nd degree Mason in the Circle Lodge No. 555, A.F. & A.M. in Prescott, Iowa. He was also a member of the American Legion, the United Methodist Church in Prescott and St. Timothy’s Methodist Church in Cedar Falls.
Hollis passed away at the Spencer Municipal Hospital in Spencer, Iowa on May 8, 2006 at the age of 93. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Dale and Ronald; and two sisters, Helen and Doral.
He is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Carolyn and Richard Lund of Laurens, IA; Catherine and Bill Abbott of Okoboji, IA, Camilla and Jorgen Heidemann of Fort Myers Beach, FL, one son, Dennis Kneller of Winona, MN; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; one sister, Lavon Rathje of York, NE; as well as many other relatives and friends.

I have traced my Kneller/Knellar ancestors back to the early 19th c, in and around. Kingsombourne, Houghton and Nether Wallop.
Is anyone else researching this name in this area? There are loads of Knellars, I feel like I am descended from most of the village. Charles (b c1801) and his wife Jane (b 1805, Cranbourne, Dorset) are my 4g grandparents.
If anyone has any information to share, I would be grateful.

Yes its the same family. I think a friend of mine from Genes reunited is in contact with you to - we both descend from Thomas' son John, who married a Sarah Cecil in 1873. Dear Lesley,
All my knellers were orignated from green grocery. I can only go back as far as a possib;e birth of george henry kneller was 8th april 1842 died 1927. His father george married in 1841. The grandfather was born in 1818 in eling hants but was buried in Kingston Cemetery in 1868. They were all gardeners. So with time they went over too 'barrow boys'. There is other Kneller living in Portsmouth but they are from another side of the family Second marriage. The family tree is very large - too long to put here. Its strange, my husbands sister name one of her children Lesley. We may some how be connected is there any chance of seeing your family tree? Kind regards Rosalie

My 3gt grandfather Thomas Kneller was son of James Kneller, a Tailor, who I think was from the Gosport area. He married Ann Young at St Mary's Portsea on 4th Jan 1798. Some of his sisters married there in later years (i have this from the IGI but will check parish registers next time I visit Hampshire Records Office): Mary Ann married William Anderson 3 Dec 1806, Elizabeth married William Rainger on 30 Nov 1807 & Jane married William Suter on 29 Oct 1821.
Are any of these in your family tree? James' father was a Peter Kneller, also a tailor, born 1748 in Fareham, died 1806 in Gosport (but buried Fareham).

Mine are mostly Fareham and Gosport way, but several seemed to get married at St Mary's Portsea, around 1798-1820s.

Mabel Kneller, 76, of Cheyenne died Dec. 2 at 3128 Boxelder Dr.

She was born March 22, 1926, in Illinois and had lived here since 1998.

Mrs. Kneller was a nurse.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clay Kneller, and her parents.

Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens under the direction of
Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.

Note: I am of no relation, but my sympathies go out to those of you who are.
This is here as a lasting memorial for Mrs. Kneller

My grandfather was a Kneller and was known by Robert ? Revel? or Godfrey? he lived in Cumbria around 1916 to 1923
was married to Sally Marshall and had two daughters Muriel (my Mother) and Berly (my aunt) I believe he was originally from Kent and had a sister Amy Kneller (spinster) who lived until about 1971. I think he also had a brother Charles and Richard and other sisters. Any info on this family would be greatly received thank you.

I think you have the same relations as me i also have thomas kneller b 1822 bethnel green he was the younger brother of John b1814 who is my 3x grandfather he married rebbecca geeves 1835 in hackney the family later moved to lancashire ive got as far back as peter kneller b1748 but more info would be gratefully recieved.

Hi! I am wondering if your Friedrich Kneller settled in the Chicago area with his parents? I am the descendant of Emilie Kneller , who came to the US from East Prussia in 1888 - she had brothers named Rudoph, August, and Friedrich (called Fred, became a policeman for Chicago). Their parents were Julius and Charlotte. Fred married a woman named Gertrude, and they had many children.

I'm looking for information on the Kneller families from South Stoneham, Southampton in the 1880's.
My ggrandmother was Elizabeth Kneller 1871-1917. Her father was Charles (b 1837), mother was Eliza. Siblings were Charles (b 1861), Maria (b 1874) & George (b 1877).

There was also a Kneller family in Southampton St Mary. Head was Albert, wife was Elizabeth, children were Albert, George, Elizabeth, Henry, Walter, Arthur and Alice.

Were the two heasds of the households brothers?
