Laura Miller Knepp
Laura Miller Knepp, 96, of North East, where she lived most of her life. She died on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at Ball Pavilion. She was born on December 16, 1911 in Union City to the late Eddy and Zenna Cross Miller. Laura was a graduate of Erie Business School, formerly employed in Banks in Ripley, Albion and was a secretary for the National Bank of North East, also formerly a Case Worker for the state of PA in Franklin Welfare Dept.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of North East
and North East Women’s club. She loved Flowers,
Sewing, Traveling and Golf.
Preceded in death by her husband, Andrew S. Knepp, February 19, 1999;
brothers, Samuel D. Miller
and James Miller;
sisters, Edith M. Fuller
and Fern Lybarger;
and a niece, Mary Mosconi.
She is survived by nephews, Warren E. Miller and his wife, Lena, of North East,
and Michael Miller and his wife, Phyllis, of South Carolina, David Lybarger and wife Debbie of Mass.;
nieces, Ann L. Donovan and her husband, James, of Virginia, and Jane Murphy and her husband, Michael R., of Ripley. Several great nieces and nephews also survive.
Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 S. Lake St., North East, on Friday from 12 p.m. till time of funeral services at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Officiating Rev. Gregg Townsend, Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church. Interment North East Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 25 W. Main St., or the McCord Library, 32 W.
