Hello, Halens1

My mother was a Knepper and I attended a Knepper reunion in PA about three years ago. There has been a reunion there every year for quite some time. (I don't have the info for the group any more tho my brother may still have it.) Is this the same reunion group? If it is and this is your first time attending, you can get some wonderful information from them on Wilhelm's history and his hymns, including words to Wilhelms's famous hymn about foot washing. One of the attendees had prepared a power point on Wilhelm's history, his imprisonment and immigration to America and settlement in Pennsylvania.

Where and when is your upcoming Knepper reunion? Is it open to all Kneppers?

Email me at jane "at" sff "dot" net for more info.

Jane

I would love to get some copies of some hymns written by Wilhelm Knepper while imprisoned at Julich. It would be fun to share these at our upcoming Knepper Family reunion.

Helly........I hope you have been getting my messages about Mary Knepper SeedMcCoy. I truly would like to know if you have information about her and where she & her second husband went. I know there is a stone for her in the cemetery beside Morris but there is no death date so I assume she is not buried there. If she is I would like to know. Hope to hear from you soon.........Joanne

Hello Lynne….you and I need to talk. I have tried to find out what happened to Mary Knepper/Seed after her husband Morris Seed died. This is the parents of Robert Seed and he was born in 1916 so this must be your father, correct? Yes, we are connected through the Knepper family. Good!!!
I have the Knepper history on back of course. I believe after Morris died Mary died a man named McCoy, then I lost her.
I hope you can help me with what happened to Mary and your father Robert, then of course your history. This will be very good so get right back to me at my private e-mail.
Joanne Crawford Ikeda
j.ikeda@comcast.net
My paternal grandmother was May (Mary) Knepper Seed. She lived in Lawrence County, in Billett. I don't know much about her family, but I suspect that she could be related to other kneppers in Lawrence Co. I don't have exact dates with me, but my father was born in 1916 so she was likely born in the late 1800's. She married Morris Seed. My father is Robert Knepper Seed.

If it sounds plausible, please let me know. I have more specific info at home.

Thank you,

Lynne (Seed) Price

I know you posted this in 1999 so I dont know if my information is of any help but my great grandmother's name was Ida Knepper, she was adopted and did have an older brother that was in that family. I found her in the 1920 Census. I am having trouble finding out her real last name. I hope this helps, it has been a dead end for me so far, if you have figured out anything since that might be able to help me that would be great. Good luck!

Ann or Jill,

I am a Knepper by marriage. My husband has recently begun uncovering his genealogy & found that he, too, is descended from ol' Wilhelm. I am extremely interested in having copies (photocopies or email attachments) of Wilhelm's hymns. I would love to compile a genealogy scrapbook & would very much like to include the hymns.

Also, you may be interested in this site, which details the English words of a 1720 hymn attributed to Wilhelm: http://rockhay.tripod.com/worship/music/howpleasant.htm

Thanks sincerely,
Jodi Knepper

I just want everyone to know that my FTM is down so I can not send any files or make any useful CD's for anyone until I get it repaired. In the meantime, feel free to download the PDF file of "The Descendants of Tilman Knepper" from my website - http://www.billterrill.com - I will let everyone know when I have the FTM up and running. Thanks - Bill Terrill

Just a reminder that the above file is downloadable for free (as all genealogy should be) on my website - http://www.billterrill.com - in return, I would appreciate any and all information to add for the file including identified family pictures. I do ask that information received from me not be changed nor that it ever be sold - just freely given to those that request it. Knepper is my wife's side of the family.
Best Regards
Bill Terrill

Alot of Knepper problems

My wife's a Knepper from Altoona, PA and I have most of the book on the Kneppers published back in the late 1890 or early 1900s. It is one confusing list of names, no dates, and very short, unsupported bios on certain members of the Knepper family. It states Haspater was born in Austria, which, if like the rest of the book, is confusing and questionable. As a member of one of the founding families of PA., I am interested to getting some sensible connection between the individuals.

Mary. I am so excited to see your message. I have been searching and searching to find my great grandfather Francis Xavier Kneppers people in Luxembourg. He married Susan Stoltz born in Minnesota, but her parents were wealthy farmers from Luxembourg. Frank's brothers: August and Adolf moved with Frank to Emery South Dakota then Frank took his wife, Susan and several of the kids in a covered wagon to Perry,OK (Noble Co.) My grandmother was Elizabeth Mary Knepper Hicks. I have lots of pictures I could share with you. But I would love to know Frank's parents and so on in Luxembourg. I hope you get this message!!!
