Paul Kney born in Wisconsin

Hi!
I was just wondering if anyone had the names of parents of Paul Kney, born in 1877 in Wisconsin. From what I've found, his mother was born in Wisconsin and his father born in Germany, but I don't have any names. Any help would be much appreciated!

(mmpage1@yahoo.com is my email if you need it)

Thanks!!
Margaret

I'm related to the Kneys/Knoys/Canoys through my Paternal Grandmother Alma Lee Canoy Walker. I have some background on the family, but I'm uncertain of the validity of the info. You may contact me at walker@elonsquid.com to compare notes.

Re: KNEY Clan from Klingenmünster close to Billigheim

My ancestors are from this area. I believe you are talking about the same Kneys. The farthest I have gone on my family tree is Hans Heinrich and Anna Elizabeth. If you have any info on them I would appreciate if you could share that with me. Also I am looking for a old cookie factory (castle), that was in operation in the same area. It is the same castle that Walt Disney uses, (the one with tinkerbell flying around it). My aunt found a keep sake tin with a picture of it and a paragraph about it. Thank you in advance for your help.

KNEY Clan from Klingenmünster close to Billigheim

Rusti

If you will look on your Rhineland-Pfalz map just to the West of Billigheim you will see Klingenmünster. I have partial transcribed church records from the Ev-Luth Church and Ref Church of Klingenmünster as transcribed by Kurt Petermann of the village of Klingen. I also have ancestors from Klingenmünster but most stayed around their village of Oberotterbach. Look on your map again at Billigheim and travel southwest on highway 38 about 7 or 8 miles till you see Oberotterbach. Just North of the French Alsace border. That is where I have been focusing my attention. There are Kney's in the church records of Klingenmünster dating from the 1760's thru the early 1800's. These KNEY's have to be related to yours. Where did you find your records? From German church records? I will be happy to scan and share. I will also send you an e-mail to make sure you get this message.
Steve Dahl
