You placed a posting on rootsweb in 2004, to which I am responding now in 2008. Nothing like a little delayed reaction, eh? You wrote about your Charles Knoblauch in the Pittsburgh area circa 1835. My Maria Katherine Knoblauch was born in Hesse, Darmstadt, Germany abt 1822 and died 26 Apr 1881, the wife of Christoph Heinrich Brukeman (Bruggeman/Bruggerman). She is buried in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Turtle Creek in Pittsburgh area. We believe her parents were Johannes and Margaret Knoblauch. Maria Katherine would be my ggg-grandmother. We still live in Pennsylvania.
