OTTO & SARAH SEYDEL: Stokes Township

Otto (Art) Theodore SEYDEL, born 13 July Friday 1892. He married Sarah FERDINAN OLSON 9 January 1918 at Badger, MN.
They had eight children:

Hulda Thora SEYDEL LINDGREN - East Grand Forks, MN
Fredrick (Fritz) Bernat SEYDEL - Badger, MN
Raymond Wilfred SEYDEL - 1954 killed in truck/car accident
Margaret Marie SEYDEL - died at 1 month old
LeRoy Dennis SEYDEL - Apache Junction, AZ
Delores Irene SEYDEL LADWIG - Roseau, MN
Dorothy Christine SEYDEL CHAPMAN - Baudette, MN
Arthur Orville SEYDEL- East Grand Forks, MN

Otto and Sarah's parents were neighbors in Stokes Township.
In 1963 Otto's health began to fail and he was forced to sell the farm to his son-in-law Don LINDGREN in 1964. He had surgery for cancer in Minneapolis in March 1965. He passed away in June 1965.

His parents: carl SEYDEL and wife, came fra Saxony, Germany on 1 June 1848. Carl passed away 28 November 1930 in Glenwood City, Wisconsin. His mother, Emilia O. HENTSCH was born in Mokena, Illinois 3 March 1855. She passed away at Badger, MN 20 Feb 1924. he came fra a family of 8 children.

Sarah Seydel's mother was Thorbjor ROE who was born 8 Apri 1856 at Fridal Voss, Norway. She came to America at age 20 years in the year 1876. She then married Simon OLSON who passed away in 1904. She then married Asle LIEN. Thorbjor and Simon had 8 children, two died as infants.
