Hello, I have some old photos of Hazel Susan Knoblock as a child, born abt 1905 in Kansas. Her parents were George (born Nov 1859 in Indiana) and Minnie (born abt 1876 in Kentucky). In 1930 they all lived in Pleasant, Coffey County, Kansas.

If you are related to her and want the photos, let me know.
- Patricia prock2@ec.rr.com

I'm Donna Miller. My aunt, Geraldine Cleaver Knoblock was married to a George William Knoblock of Louisville, Kentucky and Clarksville, Indiana but both are deceased. They had no children but my Uncle George did have a brother and he had two children. The one son is still living. His name is Douglas William, married with two daughters, and reside in Louisville. The daughter passed away a few years ago but I believe she had children. If this reaches you I'll contact Doug and tell him to contact you.

Donna Miller

My children's grandfather is James Earl Knobloch, who is the son of Robert Joseph Knobloch, the son of Lewis Francis Knobloch, the son of Julius.

Janice

I have checked my data and I do not have any James Edward or James or Edward KNoblochs in my file. My Knobloch family is a German family straight from the old country in 1852.

James Edward is a very ENGLISH name. Check www.usgenweb.com for Alabama and specifically, Tuscaloosa, Hale, and Green Counties. Also check www.familysearch.org. Both were very helpful for me.

Good Luck.

I am trying to locate the Pickard family Bible that was last thought to be in the possession of Jennie and Alvin Knobloch or Knoblock of Detroit. Jennie was born in St. Marys Ontario as a Pickard and the Pickard family bible went to Detroit with her when she married. She passed away around 1975. We think this Bible contains valuable information for those of us interested in Pickard genealogy.

Yes the Knobloch/Knoblock/Knoblauch/etc. name is German and you are correct - it does mean garlic. It seems that in Germany the most common spelling of the name is Knobloch and depending on the local dialect all are variations of the standard German word Knoblauch. Feel free to email me at lak200@yahoo.com if you have any further quetsions.

With them lived Janet Knoblock and her daughter Frances. Also listed was a Hester Ward? (who was black) and Wm. H. Duncan. Could be a connection here?
Hi, I saw your post about the Knobloch's. My children's Dad is James Edward Knobloch, who is the son of James Earl Knobloch, and he is the son of Robert J Knobloch. I am doing this research for my children and I am very interested in any information that you could give to me, and if you have any pictures of Knobloch's that would be great. I will share any information that I have on this end. James and his parents live in Texas. I began this by asking questions of my ex-father-in-law, and it was amazing how much he did not know, nor did his sister Evelyn and his niece Madelyn. I told him I would let him know about his history and he did not take me seriously. Thanks for your time, and any infor you can share.

Janice
