I am looking for information on relatives in england. What I know is-GGgrandfather was James Knowlton, who drowned in Bath, Sept/1870- His wife was Letitia Stringer (b.1843-Brighton). Their son was my Ggrandfather, Alfred (Walter?)Knowlton(b. mid1860's @ Lying Hospital, Middlesex). Apparently Alfred lived with his Uncle James. I have one address for Uncle James-20 Shelton St, Drury Lane. I think there are more children of James and Letitia. I think there was a James Knowlton that went to Australia. Alfred came to Canada in 1886 via Dr Barnardos organisation. There is a large Knowlton connection here, my mother Helen would be his granddaughter. Letitia Stringer apparently remarried after her husbands death in 1870. Possible name of this second husband is Thomas Pitham or Patham(not sure of last name). If anyone knows anything please let me know. Also if anyone wishes info on my Knowlton connection let me know.
