I have today managed to trace a copy of the will of Charles Knowlton who died in Braunston, Northamptonshire, England in August 1848, who I think is my 4 x Great Grandfather.

Until now I could only trace one daughter born to him and his wife Jane. This was Frances Hare Knowlton, who married Charles/Clarke Morris.

However, in his will he mentions a son Charles and another daughter Elizabeth wife of William Clarke.

I can find Charles Snr, Jane and Charles on the 1841 census, the only 'hint' that Charles had a son.

I would be interested to hear if anyone has any thoughts on this.
