Charlotte Knowlton
Charlotte Knowlton, age 87,
a resident of Lakeland, Florida, formerly of Erie, died Saturday, June 6, 2009 at Lakeland Hills Center in Lakeland, Fla. She was born in Edinboro, Pa. on August 6, 1921, daughter of Christian and Sophia Stubee Schwartz. A long-time resident of the Erie area, Mrs. Knowlton moved to Florida in 1995. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, where she taught Sunday school, sang in the church choir and served on various church committees. She was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Knowlton. Survivors include her son, David W. Knowlton of Houston, TX; a daughter, Susan K. Rain of Lakeland, Fla.; two sisters, Bertha Schwartz and Ann Heberle both of North Augusta, S.C.; a granddaughter, Sara Fuentes of Lakeland, Fla; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road, on Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and are invited to attend the Funeral Service there on Friday at 11 a.m. Entombment, Erie County Memorial Gardens.
