Looking for any info on a Simon and Anna Koch who would have been in Indiana or close by around 1865-1875. I have a family story that says the Kochs adopted (perhaps informally) Ida Mae Shrigley b. 1861 in Harrison Co. IN. I've found a Simon & Anna Koch in De Kalb Co IN, but I don't find Ida with them in the 1870 US census, besides, De Kalb Co. isn't close to Harrison Co. I've searched under alternate spellings Hoch, Hock, Roch, Rock. I'm stuck and would appreciate any help or suggestions. Thanks.
