I'm looking for any info on a Levi (or Levy) Kocher b. 1781 in Dauphin Co, PA who married a Magdalena/Maria/Mary (don't know her last name) who had one son, Jacob b 4/29/1807. Jacob only lived to be 25 but had two kids, Daniel and Lydia with his wife Rebecca Heller before dying of typhoid. Daniel, Jacob's son, grew up with his mother who remarried twice, a Ronk and someonelse, but I believe his name was changed from Kocher to Cochard by either Rebecca Heller or one of her other husbands or perhaps b/c of a disagreement with Levi (Daniel's grandfather) - this is only speculation. I can't find any info on Levi, although I suspect his father was Johann Heinrich (Johann George) Kocher b in Hangwiller, Lorraine, France and came to PA on the "St. Andrew" from Rotterdam via England on 9/26/1737.
