They came from Germany. The right spelling is Kohler the spelling you have. They change it when they got to the states. The different spelling they used was Koehler,caler, Kahler. so far the last name we found was Michael Koehler b.1742 d. 17 june 1776 in manor, lancaster,PA.
do you know when the frist kohler came over from Germany?
