Looking for information on my ggrandfather Marshall Kohler. He was born in either Switzerland or Strasbourg France in 1820 to Joseph and Marie Kohler. His lived in the Alsace Loraine area. I do not know if he had any siblings. I do not know anything more about his parents. He studied to be a priest in Paris France but found it was not his calling and immigranted to Lewis County N.Y. about 1844-45. He married Magdaline Guenther in N.Y. They eventually moved to Lapeer Michigan. He went by the name Marshall but his name was actually Edward Marshall Kohler. Any info will be appreciated.
