Isaac Kohlman (1851-?) Tailor in 1880 and Insurance Agent in 1910 (b. June 1851, Alsace, France - d. unknown, Hoboken, Hudson County, New Jersey, USA)

Parents:
He was the son of Raphael Kohlman (c1825-?) and Ester Jacob (c1825-?).

Religion:
He and his family was Jewish.

Emigration:
He emigrated around 1865.

Marriage:
He married Rachel Stern (1851-?) in Manhattan, New York City on May 21, 1876. Rachel was born in June of 1851 in New York, and her parents were from Bavaria. She was the daughter of Wolf Stern and Theresa Schneideker.

Brooklyn, New York City:
In 1880 the family was living in Brooklyn and Isaac was working as a tailor. Isaac was indexed as "Isaac Hohlmann".

Children:
They had the following children: Caroline Kohlman (1877-?) who was born in January of 1877; Celia Kohlman (1880-?); Sadie Kohlman (1882-1972) aka Sarah Kohlman, who was born in June of 1882 and married a Casper and died in Hackensack; Ralph Kohlman (1885-1957) who married Ada Augusta Freudenberg (1884-1957); Wolfe Centenial Kohlman (1889-1975) who married Kathyrn Hauser (1888-1984); Pauline Kohlman (1886-?) who was born in November of 1886 and married a Franklin; and Cleonine Kohlman (1893-?) who was born in February of 1893. All the children were born in Brooklyn, New York City.

Hoboken, New Jersey:
In 1900 the family was living in Hoboken. In 1910 they were living at 160 10th Street in Hoboken and Issac was working as an "insurance agent". Wolf was working as a "bank teller"; Carrie was working as a "saleslady" in a "department store"; and Pauline was not working. In 1910 they had 8 children with only 6 living. Issac was listed as "Ikey Kohlman".
