Information from various family records, memory and this much finally pieced together and blank spots filled in by Charlie via son-in-law J. Fondaw (thanks- for helping piece this together). Rev. Lorin L. Spenny was Paster at ST. Matthew Lutheran Church and with Margaret Schmidt's help put a tree together of the founding families. As you see below the Kolbs married into the Beyer and Schmidt. I am sure there are more connections than this.
HAVE NOT DOCUMENTED ALL OF THIS YET- working on other family lines- will post when have sources. But this may help someone til then.

This line came from Baden area- They settled in Ky legend has it on their way to meet others. The Ohio river iced over and they wintered in Western Ky - Paducah, Mayfield area. They liked it and settled. There were other families such as Schmidts and Winnigers that came together. Some of this
Louis Carl Kolb 11 Feb 1842 born in Wertenberg Germany, died 11 Sept 1928 (believe in Oak Grove or Maple Lawn Cemetary Paducah KY) Married Elizabeth Kropp. They had seven children.

1- Henry Franklin Kolb born 22 March 1865 died 30 Dec 1937 married Kate Koblrer (spelling?) they had 3 children

a- Lorena Kolb maried Robert Bird

b- Katherine Kolb married Gus Edward Hank

c-Henry Charles Kolb married Edna Tracey (they had 6 kids)Henry C.Jr, William J, Fred, Charles, Patricia, Ellen

2. Louis F. Kolb born 8 Oct 1866 died 1950 married Ida B. ?? born 2 June 1869 they had 5 children

a- Antoinette M. born 18 March 1892 married Ray Jacobs - had 3 kids

Christie, Louis C., and Frank J - the two boys established Kolb Brothers Drub Co in Paducah KY

3. Christian J. Kolb born 25 Dec 1868 1950 married Lena Schmidt (Daughter of Katherine Beyer and Karl Schmidt- Katherine Beyer was daughter of Johannes Ulrich Beyer who came to Paducah area from Germany, one of the founders of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Paducah KY- There was group of immigrants that came from area in Baden Germany around 1845 and settled in Western KY)
