Ami - I was sooo glad to find your Koonce details. Amandar and Martha had a son Andrew Jackson Koonce (later killed in the Civil War at the battle of Big Bertha along with his brother Robert A). Andrew had a daughter, Louisa Kathryn, who is my great grandmother. I have info on Louisa's 15 children with James A Wallace.
If you have any additional details on when/how Amandar and,Christopher Columbus got to LA from Tenn, please let me know. (I have records showing that they both bought land in Claiborne and Bienville parish in the 1830,s) I would like to hear from you. Your info has given my search a major boost. Thanks sooo much!!!!
