I am looking for additional information on the John KOONTZ in the Petersville District of Frederick Co in 1850 ... he was age 50 and born in Maryland, in his household were Sarah Ann (49), Lydia (18), Robert (15), Susan E. (10) and Thomas (8). The next two families listed were ... John D. KOONTZ (28) and Juliann (17) ... and, George KOONTZ (26), Mary Ann (21) and James (2).

It would appear that John's wife Sarah Ann is the Sarah Ann KOONTZ buried at Burkittsville Union ... b 6 Jan 1801 d 4 Dec 1852 and that son, Thomas died 20 Nov 1862 (21y 8m 8d) and is also buried at Burkittsville.

What became of this John KOONTZ? Could he be the John KOONTZ that married Mary A. E. (PADGETT) SIGLER, widow of Joseph L. SIGLER on 30 Oct 1854 in Frederick Co?

Any information concerning this family would be of great interest to me.
