I am researching the ancestors of our g-g-grandmother Sarah Koons (various spellings), born 16 Mar 1836 in NY; married Michael Young in 1858 in Summit Co., OH; died 30 Apr 1934 in Cavalier, ND.

Sarah's father was Henry Koontz, born abt 1795 in PA. His family had emigrated and settled in PA in the 1700's. I think his wife's name was Catherine. Henry and his wife moved to NY near Niagara Falls where Sarah and her sister Catherine were born. From NY they migrated to Summit Co., OH, near Greensberg. Sarah also had siblings named William, Henry Jr., and Mary. Henry Jr. moved to Daviess Co., MO where Sarah and her husband lived. If anyone knows more about this family, or has advice on how to proceed, I would appreciate hearing from you. I would be happy to tell you what I know about Sarah's descendents. Thank you.
