I am researching Louis Bernard KORB and hoping someone has info about his parents (or siblings) in Germany. Louis was b Alois Barndardt KORB on 20 Aug 1830 in Germany (probably Bavaria). He emigrated to NY on the ship Hungarian in May 1852 (Havre to NY). He ended up in Philadelphia PA (using Louis Bernard KORB) and married Barbara NOTHDURFT. No marriage date, but she emigrated in Oct 1854 (Ship Emilie, Bremen to NY), and their first child was b 1859. Barbara NOTHDURFT's DOB 21 Dec 1834, probably Wurtemburg.
Children: Emma KORB, b 3 Feb 1859, d.17 Apr 1944; Elizabeth KORB, b 20 Apr 1861, d.7 Jul 1944; Anna Catherine KORB, b.22 Dec 1868, d. 8 Aug 1940; and Caroline, b abt 1875, d. 24 Apr 1881. All children born and died in Phila PA.
Emma was the only one who married: 18 Mar 1878 to Wilhelm Karl BLUM, who became Charles BLUME. Charles and Emma had Howard Elmer BLUME (21 Nov 1889-24 Jul 1930), Caroline (29 Nov 1885- 18 Aug 1972) and Ida Lena (31 Mar 1879- 24 May 1929). Only Howard BLUME married (Edith Amelia KINSEY).
Louis KORB was a tailor; he died 4 Mar 1909. His wife Barbara NOTHDURFT died a few weeks later- 28 Mar 1909. I do not have any ancestors for either Louis or Barbara. If anyone can help, please contact me. Thanks, Lynn (LAG983@aol.com)
