Cyril's two children were born retarded and after Cyril died his brother Louis, never married that I know of helped financially....Their father Sam and my dad were brothers. I met Louis once as a child and another time in Ca. visiting my brothers and sisters and he was very generous and gave my sister and me money for a plane trip to Vegas.....

I know Cyril and Mary had two children but I don't know their names. Cyril was born on June 30, 1923, the same day as my mother and they were fairly close as children.

My great grandmother was Rose Ungar Norwick. Rose's younger sister Deborah (1882 - 1956) married Sam Kornbluth on Feb. 16, 1919.

So yes, we are distantly related. I have more info if you'd like it. Just let me know.

Hi, my name is Sharon Kornbluth Richards. My father was William Kornbluth and Sam was his brother. I have a family tree that shows that Sam and Debbie had two sons, Lewis and Cyril. Cyril died young in his early 40's and Lewis lived into his late 70's and died of cancer. I don't know if we are related by blood.....I now live in Fl. with my husband we are retired..... My grandfather was Aaron and my grandmother was Rose Wachtel and they were married Dec 31, 1888....hope I was helpful. Sharon

Our connection to Julius Kolleeny is through his 2nd marriage -- to Rebecca Becker (aka Ruth Roye)in NY. I gather they married later in life since they had no children together. I know that Julius was a widower -- and as you probably already know there are a lot of records on Ancestry.com pertaining to him.

Although I have no family link with the Kornbluth family, I was interested to see that you mention a Julius Kolleeny. Would this be the JK b. abt. 1897 in NY? Look forward to your reply.

Searching for information regarding Jacob Kornblum (b. Aust., abt. 1889), son of Abraham Kornblum and Eva/Hava Treitler. Surname might also be Kornenblie, Kornblue or Kornbluth.

Searching also for information regarding Jacob's half-sisters Anna Kornblum (b. 1890s) and Rose Kornblum (b. NYC, 1909), children of Abraham Kornblum and Celia Sayowitz. Same possibilities regarding surname.

Family siblings and half-siblings included: Charles Kornblum, Harry Kornblue, Joseph Kornblum, Julius Kolleeny.

I have one minor correction on my last post that being, that their sister's name was in fact Jenny (she was the oldest) and not Sadie. My grandfather Carl was the youngest. I'm not sure where Saul fit in in terms of the birth order, but I do know that he was in the US Army serving overseas during World War I. (And have a picture of it.)
I'd love to compare notes!

I have some records of a David Ellner who married Fanny ?? (whom I now guess to be Kornbluth).

My records come Pearl Gatzek Mannheim. Pearl's mother Sarah (Sadie) Ellner (Gatzek) had two cousins, Sam & Irving, with Sam having two sons, Arthur & Murray (or possibly Leonard). Carl may be a brother that Pearl did not know about. Pearl says that Sam's wife was Sadie Sholofsky. I have no info on brothers Saul or Harold or sister Sadie.

I have a whole lot of info on Ellner's.

Any Kornbluths related to the Blum family name? My father's father was born Chaim Blum and had his last name changed to Chaim Kornbluth by the Russian Army. Chaim was born in Barnov, while his son Abraham (my father) was born in Gikov, aka Tarnebjek

Hi, My great-grandmother, Fanny Kornbluth lived in Kopyczynce, Galicia with her husband David Ellner. She came to America in the 1890's and lived in the Bronx through the late 1930's. We don't know anything about her family in Galicia -- or whether or not she had other family members who settled in NY.

Fanny Kornbluth (known also as Feige Kornbluth), live in Kopyczynce, Galicia, Austria. I don't have birth or marriage dates, but she had two children there: Sissel Ellner - 1890 & Schmeil Ellner - 1892. The family left shortly thereafter for the New York, and eventually lived in the Bronx. Fanny moved to Brighton Beach/Coney Island in the late 1930's - early 1940's.

She had 6 or 7 children. 6 names that I know of in english are: Sadie, Sam, Irving, Saul, Harold, and Carl.

I would appreciate any info! As we know nothing of the Kornbluth family connection.

In the 1930's, at least, this man was married to Dorothy Russell, vaudeville performer.

She was born as Lillian Solomon, called herself Dorothy, after a school friend, and was the daughter of musical comedy star Lillian Russell and her second husband, English composer, Edward Solomon.

If you know anything about the Kornbluth marriage or any of those named here, I would appeciate hearing from you.

Rose had a sister named Deborah who married Samuel Kornbluth.

I am looking for information on my Great Grandfather Jack (his real name is John) Kornbluth. He was originally from New York, he served in the military, in the Marines. He served in World War I, World War II, The Haitian Campaign, and Boxer Rebellion. He had three children; Iris, Ulanda, and Ronald. We do not know what his wife's name was. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, Sarah -- Thanks for the reply. My mother Lucile and Cyril had the same b'day 6/30/1923 and were close as children. If you're interested, there are a couple of Cyril sites on the web that are pretty interesting. Sam's first wife Debbie (Ungar) was my great grandmother's sister. My Uncle Sand, who is now in his late 70's remembers "Mr. Sam" quite fondly. Hope to hear from you soon.

Looking for information about my great-grandmother Fannie Kornbluth. She was married to David Ellner and came to NYC in the 1890's. I am told she originally came from Hungary, but this could have been anywhere in the Austro-Hungarian empire!

My Great Grandfather David Ellner lived in NY and was married to Fannie Kornbluth. He had 7 sons of whom my grandfather, Carl Ellner was the youngest. I know of two other names: Sam Ellner and Saul Ellner. As far as I recall, Sam Ellner moved to California.
