Korndorfer/Korndorffer-Surname

I am a descendant, through my mother, of Ludwig (Louis) Korndoerfer, who died in February, 1919, in New York State. He came to the U.S. from somewhere in Bavaria, Germany. He owned a hofbrau in New York City. He had three sons by his first wife, Katherina, and one son by his second wife. I would have to do more research for additional information.

Hello. That could very well be my Great- Grandfather. My cousin had some information on his immigration and I believe he was from Darmstaadt. I will check with my Uncle, Edward (born 1917) and see. Clare

That could be him. He owned and operated a hofbrau in Manhattan for many years. My grandfather, Louis, and his two brothers were born upstairs from the tap room. I know his first wife was named Katharina.

Gustavo: I had to go to my German - English dictionary: yes Ludwig was a nurseryman in Germany. His gardening skills have been appearing among his descendants ( however, not me ). I will let his 2 grandsons and 1 granddaughter know.
