My Dad's name is Hans Hinrich Ko(e)rner and he was born in North Germany. Some nicknames he had enjoyed/tolerated have included "Little Ceasar", Der Kommadant", "Little BIG Man", "The Bergermeister', etc. , and it's probably just coincidence but you see the connection.( It wasn't until years after I'd grown that I realized that all Germans were not known for their gregarious, outgoing and Fun personalities.) He was passionately proud to be an American and asked to be sent to Korea during the"conflict" when he joined the army-(but was sent back to help in Germany instead). Knowing the surname is fairly common in Germany, the chances are not great that there is a connection, but also just knowing my Dad's industrious and indominatable spirit ,made me think perhaps....Thank you for your info.
