I believe that this George Korns is my ggrandfather. Marriage records from Calhoun County, IA list him as George Kerns and wife Ida Haulik, but her name was Ida Houk/Hauk.
If this is the same couple they had two children and divorced. I have little info on him, but happy to share what I have.

Looking for the burial location for George Korns b. 1857 -son of John D. & Louisa Emerick. He died in 1934 - wife's name Ida Haulick.
At the time of his sister Emma's death in 1932, George was living in Tennant, IA (Shelby)
(I have seen his name also written as Kerns)

Hi all,

I am looking for information on the Jacob Korns line. My wife is Sarah Korns Payne, her father is Richard Gary Korns, her grandfather was Clifford W. Korns, her gg-gf was Wauseon O. Korns (gg-gm Grace M Stull), her ggg-gf was Sanford Leander Korns (ggg-gm Sarah Marie Christopher), her gggg-gf was John Joseph? Korns (gggg-gm Sussana Ashton), her ggggg-gf was Jacob Korn/Korns (ggggg-gm Chathrine ??despite what the family book says on this. His wife was not Elizabeth. Chathrine is burried with Jacob Korn in Berlin, Homes County OH). gggggg-gf Carl Korns, ggggggg-gf was Michael, and ggggggggg-gf was Eberhart. Does anyone have any info on this line. The Korns family book that is on the web has very little about this line in it. Plus it has a few mistakes from what a been told by my wife's aunt Janet Korns. Any help on this line would be great.

Looking for the parents of Ernest Korns. He was born either August 19, 1891 or September 19, 1891. He married Stella C. Glessner, they had a son Robert. Ernest died in June of 1977 in Somerset, PA.

Ernest Korns was a farmer in Boswell, PA. He and Stella Cello Glessner had two children, Robert Korns, VMD (d. 1997? Somerset, PA) and Jeanne Korns Clark. His father died in 1896 and was a Civil War Veteran, having taken his older married brothers spot in the army. He was a cook in a Northern artillary unit fighting v. Pickett's charge during the battle at Gettysburg. Ernest was the youngest of six children. I have the rest of the informationm about my grandfather and his family if you need it.

I found on the IGI a baptism for Charity Becker for June 26,1791 at the Dutch Reform Church, Rhinebeck, NY. It states she was the daughter of Johannes Becker & Phebe KOORNS. I have a bible record which gives her mother's name as Phebe Holmes. Does anyone know about this?

Looking for information about Margaret Korns or Platts (b 14 Sep 1827 PA - d 23 Aug 1900 Galien MI) m John Sheeley 23 Nov 1843 in Holmes Co OH. There is conflicting information about her last name. It is given as Korns in county marriage record and a family Bible but as Platts in her husbands obit, also other Platts are mentioned in that same Bible.

Who was William C. Korns

There were two books in my grandfather's house in Southampton Township, Somerset County,. PA signed "William C. Korns". The books were "Ten Nights in a Bar-Room and What I Saw There" by T.S. Arthur, undated, and "Life of Henry Ward Beecher". I would guess they are both from the early 1900's, based on their binding. The the house where the books were found was formerly owned by John Wilson Korns and before that, his father Daniel Korns, Jr. Who in the world is William C. Korns?

Actually Dick I think the book goes up to the early 1960s. I think it lists you as married and my mom living in Cedar Rapids. It's been a few years since I looked at it.

Leann: I am surprised that you do not have the GENEALOGY OF MICHAEL KORNS SR.published in 1949 and compiled by Charles Byron Korns Sr. MD. I'm sure it is out of print and while I have a copy, I don't want to give it up. It contains our geneaology starting with Charles (Carl) Korn who emigrated from Germany. There are hundreds and perhaps thousands of names in it with their proper relationships.

He married Elizabeth Hoyman. I can give you a complete direct line to myself and beyond if you wish. I am wondering if you have a copy of the book "The geneaolgy Michael Korns Sr in which all this would be recorded at least up to my father, Everett, son of Elmer, son of Moses, son of William. I am curious if you are a descendant of William Korns b.Feb 25, 1806? I really have no other info on him other than his being the son of Michael and Susanna Korns. I am a descendant of Catherine Baker Korns b.1783 and can share my line of descendants if you'd like. I also have some ancestry back three previous generations that I've gleaned from the Internet.
