Carl B. Kozain
Carl B. Kozain, 79, of Harrison City,
died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, in his home. He was born June 10, 1931, in Boquet (Penn Township), a son of the late Frank J. and Margaret Myers Kozain. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Everledge Manufacturing for 20 years, then the Penn-Trafford School District for 16 years. He was a past member of the Free Methodist Church in Harrison City, was an Army veteran of the Korean War, loved gardening and woodworking. He was very loved and will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents,
he was preceded in death by four brothers, Frank "Fritz", Robert, Jimmy and Ralph;
and a sister, Dorothy Palmer.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Elizabeth Keene Kozain;
three daughters, Brenda L. Samella and her husband Ken, of Latrobe, Becky A. Gonder and her fiance Dennis Hadley, of Hagerstown, Md., and Kimberly A. Boyle and her husband Brian, of Penn; 10 grandchildren, Crystal, Michael, Tiffany, Jessica, Carla, Brittany, Paitton, Connor, Cullen and Nolan; six great-grandchildren, Kyla, Sara, Carleigh, Kaidyn, Aryonna and Jase; a brother, Howard Kozain, of Green Castle; three sisters, Mildred Mance, of Chambersburg, Pa., Sara Greager, of Hempfield Township, and Margaret Vasil, of Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the JAMES E. LINDSAY FUNERAL HOME INC., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Bruce Gorsky officiating. Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
